They had been going for days now. They had gotten little sleep, and little to eat. They were also cold. Very, very cold. Yet, they kept going, not stopping for these trivial matters. Something was so strange about the way destiny seemed to drag them together and on this journey so quickly.
"Okay, walking in silence is starting to gnaw at me. You got any stories to tell?" Eske said, bored
Enar hummed to himself, then finally thought of it.
"Ah! I have a story. So I bet you're still wondering why we came back here right?" He said
"Well yea actually"
"So me and Gunther got home sick. We had completed our first mission, but shortly after doing more, we felt we needed to reconnect back to the village. We traveled back with the help of Ford, a close friend of ours. On the way, we fought a dangerous band of ravenous pirates. I still remember it clearly."
Enar faded into his memoried as he tomd Eske the story of his journey
Enar drifted on the waves of the sea
at the front of the longboat as they coasted through the winds. They seemed to go unordinarily fast, and with great ease with the winds, but they decided not to question that. It wouldn't be long before they were back home. Enar wondered how his brother was doing as they sailed. Shortly after though, an ominous fog began to slowly roll in. It was strange that the sun hadn't cleared it out already. Enar walked back to the base od the boat and grabbed Gunther"I bet once we get through this fog, we'll be able to see the village." He said
"Yea I can't wait to see all our friends again!" Gunther replied
"You think everyone has changed much? Maybe your brother, or what about your dad?"
Gunther began to ramble a bit, and Enar had been listening, until he saw something. A dark looming figure out of place in the fog to the left of the ship. Enar walked past Gunther and squinted out over the waters.
"What is it Enar?"
Everything seemed to get extremely quiet as the figure slowly appeared to get closer. Suddenly it emerged, and a flash of dark wood appeared in front of Enar.
"Brace for impact!!!" He yelled as he dropped to the deck of the ship. The entire ship shook like an earthquake as a large pirate boat rammed into theirs. It seemed nearly twice their boat's size, with larger white tattered sails. Ford was seen droppping from the helm to the deck, however Gunther had dropped and tumbled over the side of the boat where he disappeared off the edge in between the boats.
Once the shaking stopped and the boats moved side by side through the fog, figures began to appear on the edge of the enemy ship. 5 of them jumped down, 4 of them immediately readying there weapons. The middle one crouched on the ground ominously, as if he was still recovering feom the fall. He wore black cloth clothes that seemed very neat and well made. A black scarf-like item flowed from his shoulders and into the air beside him. Besides for the top of his shoulders and neck, it covered his mouth and nose as well. He slowly stood up as he pulled out two long curved sword from his back. Their design was so beautiful, yet deadly as he slowly walked forward, approaching Enar.
Enar, who had just stood up, equipped his spear as his cloak flowed in the wind as well. Behind him stood a battle ready Ford
The man suddenly stopped in a very stiff posture.
"I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, but we are going to need this vessel and all the valuables on board. You can surrender, or be slaughtered like the dogs you are. Take your pick." The man said.
