it was just past 11am on finn's birthday, when jack and finn were on their way back to jack's house after getting birthday brunch. jack was driving once again, but when he pulled into the driveway of his house, wyatt's car was parked outside.
finn knew not to question it, as it wasn't a surprising thing. he just had assumed that wyatt and jaeden ended up making the cake they joked about and showed up.
when finn and jack walked inside the house and to the kitchen, finn was surprised to not only jaeden and wyatt, but sophia and chosen were there as well.
"surprise!" they all yelled in sync with smiles on their faces while all doing the same pose of putting their arms out. finn laughed from the boyband-like-aesthetic of the poses.
"thanks guys!" he said, going around to give everyone a hug, typically hugging 2 of them at once. after he finished hugging everyone, chosen spoke up to classify the reason someone in the friend group was missing.
"sadly, jeremy couldn't come," chosen started with a sadder tone. "however! he wishes you the happiest of birthday's, and still insisted we partied without him." chosen finished with a smile, earning a small laugh from everyone in the room.
"okay well," finn started. "in spirit of jeremy, let's party!" after he finished, he received a small cheer from the friends who were around.
they did as so, and hung out for hours. they played dumb party games, ate loads of snacks, and even had the cake that jayden and wyatt had made. it was very obviously a funfetti box cake that they made, but that didn't make it any less good. it had pink frosting and on top, in black writing it read;
you suck
but we
still love you

the writing did earn a laugh from everyone, and finn loved it more than any cake he had ever gotten. after they all had a small slice or two, they decided to sit in a circle and play a spin the bottle truth or dare.
"here are the rules," wyatt started, as he was the one who suggested it but not everybody knew what he meant. "somebody will spin the bottle, whoever it lands on will get asked a truth or dared to do something by the person who spun it. no chickens. deal?" wyatt finished, making sure everyone was okay with the rules.
they all agreed and the game started. wyatt volunteered to go first just to give everyone a sense of the game. the bottle happened to land on sophia, where wyatt asked her about her love life. sophia did admit to be talking to someone, however she refused to answer any further questions about it.
they all kept spinning the bottle and asking each other truths and daring each other dares. they were having so much fun, they didn't realize it had gotten dark. the time got to just past 6pm, and they had been playing the game for over 4 hours when they finally decided to stop.
around 6:30pm, they decided to go to a birthday dinner for finn. they all piled into wyatt's car, although jack and finn had to share a seat from not being enough.
they went to a small chain restaurant, as they spent a few hours there, eating, talking and laughing the whole time. it was almost 10pm when they finally decided to leave. when they arrived back at jack's, it was only jack and finn there. the others knew they would want some alone time, as well as jack's
mother was working late.
when they got back inside, they decided to lay on the couch and watch movies. the first movie they decided to watch was mean girls, a movie they were both familiar with, before they started watching movies they didn't know.
however, that plan failed as jack fell asleep with his head on finn's chest just less than halfway through the movie. finn giggled to himself at the fact that jack fell asleep, causing him to grab the remote and pause the movie.
finn wasn't sure if he wanted to leave jack asleep and stay on the couch for the night or if he wanted to wake jack up and head to jack's bedroom. he ended up choosing to stay on the couch, until it started to get uncomfortable and he decided otherwise.
but instead of waking up jack, he decided to get up and carry jack up to his room instead. when finn got up to jack's room, he carried him over to the bed, placing him down and pulling the blankets over him.
before finn got into the bed himself, he changed his own clothes into comfier clothing than jeans. he changed into sweatpants but decided to stay shirtless. afterwards, he climbed into the bed, pulling the blankets over himself and putting his arms around jack. he placed a kiss on jack's forehead before closing his eyes.
"finn i love you so much." jack mumbled as he was half asleep, causing finn to giggle quietly.
"i love you too, jack."

u guys i am so incredibly sorry this chapter is SOOO bad but i had other plans but just didn't know how to write it and i started getting fed up with it super bad and all i wanna do is just publish this chapter & get rid of the responsibility. i'm so sorry!! i'm going to try harder for chapters from now on but this was just one i couldn't handle. it was just that these last couple weeks were kinda rough and i've been working :(
also! i'm thinking of publishing another fack story soon so if that happens i'll let you guys know!
