it was finn's last day in los angeles. both finn and jack were incredibly sad about finn having to leave, but they decided to make the most out of the day. it was the morning time, just past 10am, as both the boys stood in the kitchen, making breakfast and dancing to taylor swift.

jack stood at the stove making scrambled eggs, from jack having made them a certain way that finn loved, as finn stood at the toaster putting 4 pieces of bread into the trays and popping it down. after he did, he put the bread away in the cupboards, grabbing two plates afterwards.

he placed both plates down in front of the toaster, as he leant up against the kitchen counters next to it. it seemed that finn had put the toast in a little too late, though, because when jack finished the scrambled eggs and finished putting them onto the two plates, they were still waiting for the toast to pop.

as they waited for the toast to pop, finn continued to lean against the counter, but jack had still found a way to wrap his arms around finn's torso, to which finn wrapped his arms around jack's shoulders while resting his chin on jack's head.

"my god," jack started, softly speaking without moving a limb, keeping himself attached to finn. "i cant believe you're leaving me tomorrow." jack said with a sigh afterwards. "there's so much we still have to do together." jack said with a pouty face, making finn laugh and lift his chin from jack's head, which caused jack to move his head and look up to him.

"don't worry, i'll come back eventually." finn said, causing jack to nod, however, he still was showing a sad expression. "and who knows, since your mom likes me so much, maybe she'll even let you come to vancouver." finn said with a small laugh, causing jack to laugh as well as he shook his head.

"maybe spring break." jack said with a shrug, as he listened to the music that played out of finn's phone speaker.

"yeah, if only our spring breaks weren't at different times." finn said sadly, continuing to hold jack in his arms as sparks fly by taylor swift continued to play.

"we'll work something out," jack said with a smile as he stood on his tip toes and leaned in to kiss finn. they stood there kissing, just for a moment, as finn used this time to remember what jack's lips felt like.
this was going to be one of the last times they kissed, so he remembered to take note of the way his lips were so soft, and tasted of strawberry chapstick. finn didn't even know that he could like the taste of strawberry chapstick so much, not until he kissed jack for the first time just a couple weeks before.

they continued to kiss for a while, showing no signs of stopping. that was, until, the toast finally popped, causing jack to pull away with a smile on his face.

"toast is ready," he said softly, pulling away from finn to grab the toast from the toaster and putting butter on all the pieces. in response to jack, finn just playfully rolled his eyes. jack was always the biggest tease, and all finn could do about it was just let it happen.

after jack finished buttering each piece of toast, he grabbed a fork for each of them, putting one on each plate. then, he picked up both plates, passing one to finn. after finn grabbed the plate, they both walked to the dining table and sat down, starting to eat. eating the food itself didn't take that long, but what made them take so long to finish was the fact that they were both talking non-stop.

when they finally finished, it was near 11am. jack had gotten a call from wyatt, encouraging both of them to hang out with wyatt and jaeden at jaeden's house. after a lot of convincing on wyatt's part, the two agreed, and went up to jack's bedroom to get dressed for the day.

finn got dressed into a super simple outfit, consisting of black jeans and a vintage band tee. however, jack's outfit consisted of blue jean overalls and a white t-shirt underneath. after they finished getting ready, they put on their shoes and were on there way to jaeden's house.
