On the day of Yukio's discharge from the hospital, Ayako came to help out. Since Ryuichi focused on Yukio's convenience and comfort, keeping him in his embrace the whole time, Ayako tended to other needs. She was also the one who drove the car on their way home.

When they arrived, Ryuichi carefully carried Yukio back into their house straight to their bedroom and laid the latter on their bed.

"Are you okay? Are you tired?" He tucked him in with the quilt then brushed off the strands of hair that slightly covered the other's face.

Yukio shook his head and turned to look at Ayako who just came in following them. The latter put down the medicine boxes with tablets and capsules that were separated in small partitions according to the day and time that they should be taken.

"I'll go down to the kitchen and cook some porridge. But if you're sleepy, just go to sleep, okay?" Ayako smiled and held Yukio's hand for a moment. Seeing that he nodded, she turned to Ryuichi. "If you need anything, just call me."

"Thank you, mom. Please let Aunt Matilda assist you."

"No need, this is nothing." Before she turned to leave, she looked at Yukio again and kissed the latter's forehead. "I love you, son. I regret not being a good mother to you and your brother but from now on, I will do my best."

Yukio extended his arms for an embrace and Ayako moved closer to hug his son. "Get better quickly, okay?" She moved back a little to ruffle the latter's hair and gently patted his face. "Ryuichi and I will never let you face all of these alone. Everything that was lost cannot be returned, sweetheart, but you and Ryuichi can start again. Together, we can all do better this time."

Ayako smiled when she saw Yukio nodded. Even if she couldn't say that she had raised her son well, she could certainly say that Yukio had grown to be a very fine and strong person. Despite all these hardships, she knew that he'd be all right. She kissed Yukio's forehead again and turned to leave the room.

After Ayako left, Ryuichi removed his coat and laid beside Yukio. He put his arm around the latter's waist and pulled him closer. "I've always wanted to do this in the hospital but the bed wasn't big enough. I was afraid you'd feel uncomfortable." He nuzzled on the nook of the other's neck and hugged him tighter. "Yukio... I'm so happy... You didn't leave me."

Yukio remained silent and not moving. His head was being rummaged with so many thoughts. He was about to make a very big decision and he didn't want his rationality to be clouded by Ryuichi's actions and words as of this time. If he put attention to him now, his heart would waver. His decision might change.

Ryuichi lifted the quilt to look at Yukio's legs. "The casts had been removed. Is it still too painful?"

Yukio faintly nodded.

"You have to recover fast then we'll travel. I'll ask dad to give you more time off from the company and we'll go anywhere you want." Ryuichi kissed his cheek then lifted his head to look at Yukio. "Right, let's have our second honeymoon. Would you like that?"

He smiled and leaned down to kiss the other's lips but Yukio didn't answer nor waited for the kiss. Instead, he turned his head to avoid it. Ryuichi continued to kiss his hair then put his hand at the back of Yukio's head to pull it closer to him. He hugged the other young man again.

"It's okay if you don't want to. We can also just stay at home and spend our time together. That's good, too."

After a short while, Ryuichi moved to lay beside Yukio and lifted the quilt to cover the latter's body well again. "Get some sleep now. I'll stay here."

Feeling Ryuichi's arm hugged his waist again and the former's head snuggling back on his neck, Yukio felt warm and fell into deep sleep. For being emotionally and mentally drained, he needed a quick escape from the cruelty of his reality.
