~A.
Today it was the birthday of my cousin, and believe it or not it was his 18th birthday. I still can't believe he really is that old and how tall he is. He towers over me as the empire state building. Since I lived in Amsterdam I had to take the train to Haarlem where he lives or I could have called my parents to pick me up but that would be such a pain for them, so being stubborn I decided on the train. I hoped that I wouldn't run into Kai because I was getting annoyed with his face. Maybe, just maybe he has a sweet side to him but I just never saw it since he is always that flirtatious jerk that always visits the restaurant when I have to work and always flirts with me. It's also hard to believe that he can be a serious guy when he is always acting this way. I sigh out of frustration, even on my day off he can manage to annoy me even though he isn't even around, that guy is messing with my head and I do not like it.
Although that face is gorgeous... No A! Don't think that way about that jerk! Handsome jerk though... Fudge.
I shake my head softly as I lean my head against the window. Why didn't I bring anything to entertain me with while in the train? I seriously am stupid because now I am bored out of my mind with nothing to do. A loud sigh escapes my mouth as a handsome stranger takes a seat in front of me. I wonder why because it's not like the train is packed or something.
"Hi" the cute stranger says politely. "I thought you could use some company since you were sighing so loudly" he says as he extends his hand to me. "I'm Ray".
Omoooo~ A, a handsome stranger wants to keep you company... kyaa this is awesome.
I giggle softly as I shake his hand. "I'm Angelique, but everyone calls me A".
"Well can I cal you A then" he asks as he slumps down on his seat.
Dayummm. He can call me anything he wants!
"Sure" I say.
I look at his handsome features, his dark chocolate brown eyes and his coal black hair. He looks like a guy that comes from one of those otome's I always read. And that name too. Suddenly I catch him staring at me, but he doesn't look away. No he stares right back at me, making me slightly uncomfortable.
O.k. now he is just freaking my out... Stop staring.. Staphhhhh!
"Eh is there something on my face" I ask as I look at my reflection in the window.
"Nope" he casually says. "Unless you mean your beauty".
Seriously bro? You have to be kidding me "Yeah sure, that makes no sense at all" I shot back.
"Whatever, I'm just making small talk here" he grins. "Oh come on, don't look at me like that. I was just joking" he says with a smirk.
I roll my eyes as I tighten my grip around my bag, not that I was afraid that he was a mugger or something. It was more because I wanted to hug something. Don't judge me, we all have something weird about us and this is my weird. Ray smirks as he shows me a book.
"The Selection" I read from the title as I raise my brows at him. Why would he be reading a book that is more for girls then guys? He should be reading Mazerunner or some other awesome book.
"Are you interested" he asks. "I won it the other day but it's too girly for me. No worry I don't need anything in return" he says to comfort me.
I snort softly. "If you wanted something in return then I would throw the book in your face".
He chuckles. "Cute".
"What's cute" I ask when he hands over the book.
"That snort of yours is cute".
Omoo he finds my pig like snort cute? There must be something wrong with him if he finds that cute.
"Nice joke".
"I wasn't joking A. You know, most people would think that when someone sits across of you and starts a conversation they need something from you. I want to say I am not like them but I do need something of you" he says.
I raise my eyebrow, he better choose his next words carefully or else I will hit him in the face with this book.
"What do you need Ray" I ask suspiciously.
"Is this train going to Haarlem".
Facepalm, no wait facewall since facepalm isn't enough... I read to much online.
I start to laugh after I tried my hardest to keep the laughter in. "You got in a train without checking the destination".
His cheeks start to grow pink at my comment. For the tall handsome guy he is it makes him look sooo cute.
"I eh, was in a hurry so I didn't check properly".
"Then you are lucky because this train is going to Haarlem, next time check where you are going" I say with a smile.
Ray ruffles up his dark hair to draw the attention away from his crimson cheeks. I must admit that he doesn't seem like a jerk as I thought as first. A flipping handsome jerk ohmigoshhh.
"Well thanks A".
I look out the window before turning back to Ray. "Well it was nice to talk to you and thank you for the book but this is my stop, have a nice weekend" I say politely.
"Don't worry about it A" he says with a smile. "I'll see you around".
I nod and hurry towards the doors before they close and make me stop in some unknown city. It's not like I'm familiar with Haarlem. I wave at Ray before I hurry, it was already close to six and knowing my family they would either be an hour late or already late. I hope my parents can drop me off at home after the party.
