No! No no no! I did NOT just see that right did I? Was literal what I thought. A walked out touring our pretty hot new guy and when I turn around with a new order from these customers I see it. That smile. That smile only she can have. The one I recognize, that is just the start though.

I politely say I'll be right back to the people and walk, though it can be considered running, towards her and Mark.

"Heeey! So Mark, nice to have you around here from now on." I say smiling.

"Same here Lies." He smiles back.

Aaaand A told him my name... why oh why didn't I think of that? Ow yeah! I was too busy with imprinting his muscles on my forehead!

"Um it's Lisanne actually but whatever. Call me what you want." I ramble.

"Yeah, she's a real sweetheart. Clumsy at times but really she has humor." A said.

That SMILE!!! Any normal person would say; aaw she's smiling! NO! she is plotting things in her silly mind. I know her too well and she me to not recognize every smile. And I had a slight idea of what she was playing towards here.

"Anyway," I said ignoring what she said "I'm sure you would like to get started now so if you would go change, there is a small staff room via the kitchen and I'll see you in a minute." I smile, god I don't want to know what he thinks of us.

"Right. Whatever you say boss." he throws in a cheeky smile and a sailors salute.

Kawaiiii! No! Focus!

I watch him walk away still gripping A her arm to prevent her from fleeing. As soon as he left my sight I turn to glare at her.

"No! Just don't. I know what's going on in your mind right now and I ask of you, don't. I love you, your my Unni, my twin, my best friend my second half or however you want to call it but just because he's hot doesn't mean he's good." I whisper half pleading.

"So you do think he's hot? I thought so when I saw you look." She snapper back witty.

"BECAUSE HE IS! But being hot is not all. It's much but not all." I still whispered.

I realized I still had an order in my hand and dragged her with me inside.

That's when I spotted the customer I kinda had to admit is hard not to like in my eyes. He was good looking sure, but he knew it, and made use of it. He had been after all the waitresses but when he found A he kinda stuck around. She kept saying he was just playing with her, like a love game or a bet. I on the other hand was quite convinced there was more HE didn't even knew about.

This was my chance to make it clear to her. I give her that one and the same smile she just used and drifted off towards his table letting go of her. Her face turned white, drained from all color she realized my plan very clearly.

"Hey Mr. Hotsome!" I say to Kai, not his real sure name by the way.

Kai is Korean and he drags all kind of words in when he talks. I always liked that about him. I wish I could speak Korean. Anyway, we are on pretty good terms for as far as goes with waitress customer.

"Little Lies returned to me, Yehet." Witty and flirty as ever.

He was never real serious with me tho. Luckily. I started cleaning his stuff up while talking.

"So have you seen A today? She's looking finer then ever." I sneak a glance at the wildly sighing A over at the bar.

Just a little more.

Kai nodded. "But when does she not. Sadly she's also still very handy with her menu's." he said absently rubbing his head.

I got the tray on my hand. "Want anything else?" I ask fully intending to send A over when he does.

You might think that we're not really that nice to each other, and your right. But you know, when you know each other for around 15 years you learn what you can or can't do. Okay maybe, just maybe, I went a little extreme with the whole Kai thing. But she had to understand that if she went wild like that with Mark I would keep this up. A relation ship has never really been my thing. I'm just not good at it. A relation on the work floor? That is asking for drama all the way.

"No I'm fine sugar." Kai winks.

I smile and leave with a pat on his back. As I return to A she is about to have a stroke hanging against the bar.

"You didn't... You wouldn't..." she stuttered out afraid that I actually gave him her number.

I smile. "Nope." she sighs in relieve.

"Thank god! I got the message, no more clear, open, dating slash couple actions to you and Mark."

I hug her. "Your the best." she frowns and slaps me with a menu.

"hey! No need to give me the Kai treatment." We both laugh.

Of course then I realized there was a bunch of people outside waiting for their food of which I hadn't even delivered the order to the kitchen yet.... oops. Quickly I found out the people had left after waiting for 10 minutes and, to much of my dismay, so did my boss just walking out with Mark all dressed up. God, what did I do to you?

After a mad Jeff I sincerely apologized. I had fun with Kai though. I explained to Mark who he was while A regularly grunted if she heard pieces when she walked by.

The rest of the day was pretty normal. Kai had stalked A a little more, we took turns in learning Mark things but he got the hang of it fast and could do it on his own. Like my baby learned to fly. Okay, weird to imagine him like that. Reset. As soon as the googly club arrived with some friends it was obvious it was almost time to leave. I had a day off tomorrow, finally. Chocolate, here I come.... You did not hear that I'm on a diet.Cancel
