I get welcomed in by A's aunts who still remember me from all the years on her birthdays. What I didn't notice is that Xander followed me in. The woman probably thought he was my boyfriend or something so they just let him.

Immediately I get greated by the other family members. Some uncles, nieces, her parents, I congratulate her nephew Nico though I was still pretty tipsy and Xander just follows also congratulating Nico. But A was nowhere to be found.

The aunts return with their spring rolls.

OOW these spring rolls had been what I talked about in that text. I love them. This Philipino family can cook sooo good!

Xander tries to refuse at first but there is no saying no to the sweet aunties of A. Her uncle comes towards me and starts talking.

"I haven't seen you in a long while." He says smiling.

I swallow the last of the spring roll and try to answer as sober as possible. "Yeah it has been a while hasn't it? I came here on Angelique's request."

Luckily I was sober-ish enough to call her by her full name with the family. "Talking about Ang, have you seen her? I haven't been able to congratulate her with her nephew yet."

"Yes she went outside for a little. Her friend followed her." He said and then with a nod walked away to talk to another.

A friend? Who did she invite over me? Damn, pang of jealousy right here. I knew almost all of her friends or so I thought. And why did I still allow fancy ass to come with me?!

I walk towards the other door to the outside Xander still on my heels. He didn't even looked that interested though. He had his hands in his pockets and just looked around following me. Like an owner checking if his slave behaved. I turned around abruptly before the door sticking up my hand. Wow, dizzy attack. Xander almost walked into me.

"stop right there mister suit." I say almost lisping.

"What?" He asks innocently.

You know what? Fuck it. What did I care if he comes. I'm tipsy, he brought me here and it makes explaining who 'he' is from the text a lot easier.

I sigh. "Never mind."

I turn around and push open the door. But I didn't quite expect to see what I did. I blinked a few times trying to make sure it was not just a hallucination from being drunk-ish.

I never get drunk. I don't even drink! I hate the taste of alcohol so I always refuse but in some occasions, like this day, I don't even notice there is alcohol in it because it's sweet and I love sweet.

when I finally seem to have processed the sight I talk. "Wauw. Well that explains who the friend was I didn't knew about."

"I think you interrupted, light weight." Xander comments casually from behind me.

I slap him flat on the chest and look back at the, just a second ago kissing, A and Kai on the bench.

A blushes madly scrambling away from Kai and Kai just looks like he always does.

"Lies! So you joined the party too. How nice. Jagiya and I were-"

"Making out like true lovers. Yup, I saw that. Was a witness." Kai said but me being tipsy I flap out what I think before I can stop it.

A blushes even harder if that was even possible. I let out a snort but quickly cover my mouth with my hand.

I couldn't help but laugh at the actually funny side of this. At work she had never really payed him any attention apart from slapping him all over the place but the one night she meets him outside work and I'm half drunk I find them kissing. Interesting.

"We weren't making out, he kissed me!" A protests.

Suddenly my alcohol affected brain realized something. "Wait a second, Kai, what are you doing here? I know I barged in uninvited but what about you."

"I'm a friend of her nephew," he says clearing it all up for me. Before he can say another word A jumps in seemingly recovered from her shame.

"And who is that guy?" She asks pointing at Xander. Then she grabs my face with two hands and looks into my eyes. "And are you drunk?!"

Ow dear...

"This 'guy' is Alexander.. uum-" as I seem to struggle recalling his sure name he takes over.

Xander takes A's hand and kisses it lightly. "I'm Alexander Hadley, I presume she already told you about me."

"EGOOOO!" I singsong behind him doing the jazz hands.

As soon as Xander touches her hand Kai stands up and puts his arm around her shoulders protectively. Xander drops her hand with a smirk and pulls them up innocently.

'Their all touchy feely already?! Am I gonna loose my best friend as I knew her because one of us is getting a guy?! Okay my brain might be dramatizing this just a little.'

He ignores my statement and continues. "I'm the one who drove her here after spending the afternoon with her at a restaurant. That should explain things." He smiles that smile of which producers would place a little star at his teeth for the perfect whiteness.

A tries to get Kai's arm off her shoulders and when she succeeds she takes my arm. "You need to go home Lies. Come on, maybe it's better if we both leave now."

I know she only means it half heartedly and I try to protest but she won't have it. "I'll bring the both of you back to Amsterdam." Xander offers. A hesitates.

Clearly she first wants to know the ins and outs of this guy but going with the train with a half drunk... no promise for success.

"Fine." She answers shortly.

"I'll go with my jagiya." Kai says throwing a look at Xander.

"No you won't!" She says fast turning around almost launching me flat into a wall.

I throw my arm around her shoulder and she scrunches up her nose from the slight alcohol smell.

"I ate a liver." I state like it's important at this moment.

Yep, now I officially doubt my own capacity of surviving this night...

They all look at me like I went mad except for Xander who I think got used to this me already. She shakes her head and pushed me towards the door again. Outside it had turned dark pretty fast. Both Kai and Xander had followed us. The limo is still parked before the house and takes in a lot of space.

"See?" I said walking back to it on my own. "I told you I came in style."

Please, somebody... kill me. Anybody, before I get worse! I will never ever in my life touch alcohol again. On top of that, what must Xander think of me? And why do I even care?!

Suddenly I think of Mark while A argues with Kai who wants to go back with her and Xander who walks to his chauffeur. Where would Mark be right now? At least he is spared from the tipsy crazy me. I liked the guy. He was shy but funny and sweet. The cold breeze felt good against my hot skin.

I look back at Xander, who took me out today when I was bored, though being it on a rude way, and even brought me here without me needing to ask. Maybe, just maybe, he isn't half that bad. And just maybe, I would be happy if both Mark and Xander stayed in my life like this together with A. Just maybe.
