"This isn't back to the cellblock?"

Shit, why would Jungkook have to stay there? Taehyung thought to himself. "Cellblock? Shit... Kookie, no, you don't have to go back there," he frowned. "You can stay with me. You don't have to go back to the cellblock until I've fixed it, okay?"

Jungkook's eyes lit up. Taehyung swore he could see stars in those eyes. "Really?" The younger boy's smile made the officer's heart melt. "But where will I stay?"

"You can sleep in my bed, baby." Suddenly, Taehyung's heart seemed to stop. His eyes widened. He accidentally let a pet name slip... Fuck.

Jungkook could feel his cheeks heating. His whole head felt like it was on fire. He brought his hands up to cover the tips of his ears. It was... Actually sort of nice to be called that after a while. He smiled a bit.

"Sh- Sorry, Jungkookie. I just-"

"No, it's okay. I liked it." He whispered the last part.

They had done far worse things yet Taehyung was still stuttering over a little pet name. He felt stupid. But then he heard what Jungkook murmured. He felt a blush spread across his face. "You're too good to me."

"You're too good to me." Jungkook rebutted. He felt like a king with the way Taehyung treated him recently.

"I'm really not." Finally, Taehyung pulled to a stop in front of their apartment building. "I'm an asshole."

"Maybe so," Jungkook hummed, "but not to me."

Taehyung stepped out of the car and helped Jungkook out of the passenger seat. They silently walked inside the building and up the stairs. The night was growing cold, Taehyung noted. He'd have to give Jungkook extra blankets. Swiftly, the off-duty officer unlocked the door and allowed to younger in before locking it behind them. You can never be too safe, Taehyung thought.

"Ah... I'm hungry," Jungkook whined.

"I'm not the best cook but I can try to make you something!" Taehyung piped up. He ran to his cupboards before calling out, "Make yourself comfy!" He rummaged for a while, trying to find anything easy to make. Finally, his eyes fell on instant noodles. Okay, maybe they're not very healthy, but it was easy to make and Taehyung was very good at burning things. He didn't want to take the chance.

Jungkook's eyes widened as he sat down on the sofa. He patted the leather and fiddled with the arms of the couch. It was crazy. He never really sat on a leather sofa before. Taehyung must have made lots of money to be able to afford something so nice, he thought.

The boy found a remote stuffed in between the seat and the arm of the sofa. He pulled it out and clicked the on button, staring at the TV in awe. He never had a TV before. It was so cool looking, and it even had color! He thought that TV's didn't have shows with color but he guessed wrong. He felt really out of the loop.

After a few minutes of browsing the channels, he smelt something. Something delicious. He felt himself being dragged to the kitchen to find out what it was. Taehyung was cooking something over the stove. The young boy approached and popped his head onto the older's shoulder which effectively startled him.

Taehyung battled the fork he was once holding, trying to make sure it didn't fall into the boiling water. "Please be more careful." Finally, he caught the fork and by that point, Jungkook was a few feet away, staring at his feet in embarrassment.

"Sorry."

"Ah... Don't worry about it! You didn't know." Taehyung offered him a warm smile. Jungkook couldn't help but reciprocate.

Finally, Taehyung finished boiling the noodles and he served them. They sat at the little table in silence, slurping their noodles as if it was their last meal. But a phone ringing broke the silence.

Standing, Taehyung groaned. Those noodles were actually good. Why did a stupid phone have to ruin it? He walked over and pressed talk, bringing the phone up to his ear. "Hello?"

"Nice to finally hear your voice again, Taehyung."
