"I think our baby is a girl" Tobias says rubbing my small bump
I'm 5 months pregnant. We decided after a lot of talking we would keep the baby. We didn't have this planned but it seems like the right thing to do at this point in our lives.
Tobias's prom is this week and next week he graduates. Since I'm homeschooled, I was able to graduate already. They had a small ceremony for a whole bunch of cyber school kids in the neighborhood who were graduating.
"Well I think we're having a baby boy" I say and he holds my waist and pulls me close.
My parents are yet again on a business trip for work for the week so they won't be able to make it to the gender reveal we are having today.
My parents were surprised when they found out we were having a baby but they are happy for Tobias and I. Tobias's parents took the news well. His mom is helping me out with anything I need or have questions about and so is his sister Amy.
I talk more with Amy about these things because she's closer in age to me and we get along well.
When my parents are away for work, Tobias's parents allow me to sleepover for the week so I'm not alone at home which I find very nice.
Tobias leans down and kisses my neck as I stand by his mirror and finish getting ready.
"My parents are out grabbing the cake and catering. We finally have the whole house to ourselves" he says kissing deeper into my neck and I pull away and peck his lips.
"Not right now" I say and he sighs
"Fine" he says and lays on his bed while I finish getting ready.
"Prom is coming up, let's save sex for special nights" I say and he nods
"Whatever you want tris" he mumbles and I lose it
"I'm the pregnant one. Holding our baby with this watermelon of a belly and going through all these body changing symptoms. Last time I checked this is my body and I say what and when I want to do things with it. So please get your horny hormonal self away from me or I will lose my shit even more" I say and he looks at me with wide eyes and leaves the room.
It's true. I haven't been very sexual with my boyfriend but since I've gotten pregnant, I just haven't had the urge for sex.
I have a lot going on right now and sex is the last thing I'm thinking about.
For the gender reveal today Tobias and I have no idea what the gender is of course. The only people that know are his parents. They found out the gender from our doctor, we wanted to be surprised today.
When I head downstairs I hug Tobias from behind and lay my head on his chest.
"Tris I'm sorry" he says
"I'm sorry too. I know I haven't been the best girlfriend but I need you to be supportive. My body is going through a lot and it's not that I don't want to have sex with you, I'm just not up for it" I tell him and he kisses my head
"I get it and I'm sorry. I can't believe I would get upset over something so stupid" he says and I giggle, going back to hugging him.
His parents walk in with a white cake and a whole bunch of catering. I try to help but no one will let me lift a thing.

"Are you excited about the prom coming up" Christina asks me and I nod
"My dress had to get altered again because my belly is so big but I'm going with the flow" I say to Christina and the other girlfriends of the guys in Tobias's friend group
"You and Tobias are the cutest. You are going to have the cutest little family" Zeke's girlfriend Shaunna says
"I know seeing you pregnant gives me baby fever" Uriah's girlfriend Marlene says
"We don't consider our baby a mistake but we definitely do wish we waited on having a baby" I tell them
"At least you look so cute pregnant. That's what counts" Marlene says and I give her a small smile
She's not my favorite one out of the girls. She's a little out there.
"Babe, can I steal you for a few seconds" Tobias says wrapping an arm around my waist and I nod, leaving the girls to talk.
"So what did you need" I whisper to him as he drags us inside away from the party in the back yard.
"I just needed you back at my side for a few seconds. Talking and mingling throughout the party is exhausting. I missed you" he says and I giggle wrapping my arms around his neck and leaning up to kiss him.
"You're the best" I say and he chuckles holding me close and pecking my lips one last time before we go back out to the party.
"Gender reveal time" Evelyn announces to the party.
Tobias and I huddle by the cake and hold the knife getting ready to reveal our baby's gender.
"1, 2, 3" we count then cut a slice into the cake.
"It's a boy" we say in unison and everyone cheers.
Tobias daps a dot of frosting on my cheek and I take a handful of cake and playfully smash it into his face.
Everyone around us laughs along as Tobias tackles me in a loving kiss with his messing cake filled face.
"I can't wait to meet him" he whispers to me as we share a special moment just the two of us while everyone huddles around the table to eat cake.
"Our little baby boy" I say almost in tears as Tobias holds my belly and leans our heads together.
He kisses my tears away and leaves me with a small kiss. Sophie comes running up to us with excitement.
"I'm going to have a baby boy cousin" she says cutely
Tobias lifts her in her arms and she gently touches my belly.
"Just a few more months and you will be able to see him" Tobias tells her and he puts her down
She kisses my belly and runs off somewhere else.
