Today is Tobias's prom and I can't wait for us to have this night together. It's like our last few months together alone until the baby comes. This should be nice.
I'm in the bathroom brushing my teeth when I feel this wave of pain rush over my stomach. I wince and immediately clutch my belly.
"Ow" I whisper to myself and sit on the bath tub ledge.
Tobias walks into the bathroom and looks at me with worried eyes.
"Tris what's wrong? Are you okay" he asks concerned
"Yeah I think the baby is just kicking or something. I'm fine now, it's nothing to worry about" I tell him and he continues to look at me stressed.
"Are you sure" he asks and I nod
"I'm sure" I say standing up and he gives me a smile
"I'm heading out to pick up some bagels. Cream cheese, on a plain toasted bagel right?" He says asking me for my order and I nod
"Perfect. Hurry back, I'm so hungry" I say
He kisses my head then leaves.
I sit at the end of Tobias's bed and rub my belly. The pain isn't there anymore but I feel discomfort.
I sit by his mirror and begin to do my make up.
We are getting ready early because we have pictures with his group of friends soon.
My makeup takes longer than I expected so next I start curling my hair.
Tobias comes back with our bagels and I eat it up really quick.
He goes to take a shower and the pain hits again.
I tumble over in a ball and wince at how bad this feels. I should tell Tobias but I don't want to ruin our night, in sure I'm fine. I'm sure the baby is fine.
He gets ready way before I'm even finished. He waits for me downstairs and yet again I get another pain.
I slip my heels on and take one last glance in the mirror. My bump shows in my tight gold beautiful dress. Just me and my bump, heading to prom.
I walk downstairs and Tobias's eyes light up. He helps me from the last few stairs and has me do a spin for him.
His mom and dad smile at us and his mom won't stop snapping pictures.
"You are absolutely stunning" he says pulling me close and kissing my head.
"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself" I say giving him a nice bring smile
He hands me a bouquet of flowers he got me and I place a small flower by his pocket.
His mom snaps a few more pictures then we're off to the photo destination.
When we get there Tobias comes to my side of the car and helps me get out. I get another pain so I stop and squeeze his hand.
"What's going on" he asks as I look down and take deep breaths in and out.
"I've been having these pains all day today but I've been brushing them off because I don't want to ruin our night. I'm sure it's nothing. I just want this night to be special for us" I explain to him and he kisses my head
"I want that too but if you're hurting you need to tell me. Should we go to the hospital and get you checked out" he says and I shake my head no
"No" I practically yell
"But tris" he says and I stop him
"Baby please. I promise if I had to go to the hospital, I would tell you" I say and he sighs
