CHAPTER FIVE
BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL

Angelina had to keep her composure. It was already too late for her to try and stop Rachel now. The poor unknowing couple was staring down at her, trying to figure out what had happened to the young stranger as Chloe tiptoed her way towards the couples table. Heather and Angelina could only watch from around the boulder. Clinging to the edge to keep themselves as well hidden as possible, their breathing slowed as if it was even loud enough for them to hear.

It was still so confusing to her. Angelina just couldn't wrap her mind around the sudden change in Rachel's attitude, why she seemed so... upset. There was no reason to worry about it right now though. Angelina was going to have to keep it together and backup her friend in the stupid stunt she was currently pulling.

"Oh, thank god! Please, this girl is in trouble, go get help." The man next to Rachel begged to Chloe, having already spot her sneaking up on their table. Chloe stood up straighter and redirected herself to face the couple. As to not get caught immediately for trying to steal from them. Unpleased with the way Chloe had hesitated to move the woman had decided to speak up. "What are you waiting for! Go!" She snapped.

Chloe might be a good liar but she was not an actress.

Angelina cleared her throat and settled her nerves. "Rachel?" She called out before making her way around the rock she had been hiding behind. "Rachel?!" Angelina cried, eyes glued on her friend laying in the floor. Her hand laid over her heart. "Do you know her?" The woman asked, watching Angelina as she ran over.

Ignoring the woman for a moment Angelina rushed to Rachel's side, crouching down and leaning over to press a hand against her forehead. Her bare knees scrapped lightly against the dirt below her, pebbles nicking her knees and pressing into her skin uncomfortably. In a quick motion Angelina turned to the man sitting next to her, grasping his arm tightly as tears started to build up in her eyes. "She's my sister! What happened? What happened to her?!" She cried.

The man stammered for a moment, caught off guard by Angelina's hard grip on him. "I don't know." He stuttered, looking over to who she guess was his girlfriend. "She just fell over." "Is she sick?" The woman asked.

Angelina dabbed away her tears, careful not to smudge her mascara. "I don't know. She said she wasn't feeling well so I was going to take her home but then she just ran off." "Watch out, I'm going to check her pulse. That's on her neck, right?" The man asked hovering his hands over Rachel awkwardly.

The woman turned to look at Chloe. Who was still standing around and waiting for her opportunity to grab the wine. "I think you should go get help. There's a ranger station on the other side of the park." She told her. "Good point. We'll keep watch while you go." The man nodded in agreement.

"We don't have time to talk about this! My sister could be dying!" Angelina sobbed loudly. "She could need an epi-pen, or mouth-to-mouth, she hasn't moved this whole time!" "Nnnnnnooooo." Rachel let out a mixture of a moan and a grumble. Obviously not wanting to be stabbed or suddenly kissed by anything.

"Okay, okay. You can do this." The man hyped himself up, scooting closer to Rachel as Angelina gave him the space to do so. His hands couldn't decide where to place themself, his head slightly leaning closer to Rachel's face. Before he could even get close to her he flinched and snapped to sit back up straight. "I can't do it." He stammered. "Pathetic... Look, he's clearly useless. This woman needs help from someone who actually knows what they're doing." The woman scoffed.
