Power Rangers S.P.D. A New Beginning

Chapter 22: Sky's and I's Dinner Date.

When Sky pulls the food out of the bag it smells like the best Italian food that I’ve ever had. My mouth begins to fill up with saliva. Sky and I share a look and we then begin to smile at each other.
“That smells good," says Sky.

“I know. I’ve had their food before, it’s somewhat expensive, but it's amazing," I say.

Kat walks into the room a few seconds later.

“Yes Kat," says Sky.

“Is this a bad time?" asks Kat.

“Maybe, we were just about to start eating," I say.

“Alright. Commander Birdie is coming for a visit, in a day or two. Commander Cruger needs you and Breanna in full uniform and she needs to have the cast on her right arm taken off," says Kat.

“Can you take it off right now?" I ask.

“Sure," says Kat.

Kat looks at my right arm and she cuts the cast off using a pair of heavy duty scissors. When Kat finishes cutting it off she tapes it back up and she puts it in my backpack.

"Thanks Kat," I say.

“You're welcome. I’ll let you two get to eating dinner," says Kat as she walks out.

Sky and I begin to eat dinner, but we eat the spaghetti and when I grab a strand I keep sucking on it until my and Sky's lips meet. I break away from that and he asks, “What just happened?”

I reply, “I have no idea."

“That was kinda cute though," says Sky.

“Really?" I ask.

“Yeah, I do like you though," says Sky.

“I like you too, so I guess this means eating dinner just turned into a dinner date," I say.

“I guess so," says Sky.

Sky and I smile at each other and we get back to eating. I finish my lasagna and Sky finishes his lasagna. We split the spaghetti and when we finish eating our dinner and dessert, Sky stands up and says, “I better head to my room. It’s almost time for curfew."

“Okay, I’ll see you in the morning," I say.

“Yeah, goodnight Bre," says Sky.

“Goodnight Sky," I say.

Sky walks out and he heads to his room, where he thinks about what happened at dinner. When he starts to fall asleep, he gets a feeling that I shouldn’t be left alone, so he decides to head back to the infirmary, where he sees me wide awake.

“Are you still awake?" asks Sky

When I hear Sky’s voice, I jump in shock.

“Oh hey Sky, yeah I’m still awake. I didn’t expect you to see you again," I say.

“Me too, I got concerned for you when I started to fall asleep. I guess we can be more then friends," says Sky.

“I was thinking that too," I say.

“Really?" asks Sky.

“Really Sky, I’ve had feelings for you ever since I showed up here at SPD," I say.

“Let’s get some sleep and we’ll wake up tomorrow being happier and not as tired," says Sky.

“Okay, I can’t wait to get out of the infirmary. These beds are not comfortable," I say.

Sky smiles and he falls asleep in the chair next to my bed. When he falls asleep I see him in his blue SPD shirt and gray SPD sweat pants. I then fall asleep, about an hour later at eleven p.m.
