my mom hurried to the hospital and got there instantly. she walked in to the room and is greeted by wyatt, jaeden and i all crying. i'm hung on to jaeden like a leech is stuck on their pray but as soon as my mom walks in i run over to her and jump in her open arms. then wyatt comes over and hugs her as well. we pull away and in the room until the doctors say it's time for us to leave.

we leave the hospital in separate cars. wyatt and my mom in hers and jaeden and me in his. i call my mom and tell her that me and jaeden are gonna take a quick pit stop before we go back to our hotel room. they take the right that goes to the hotel but we continue to go straight. we go to a wood shop on the end of the town and get a piece of wood with my dads name engraved into and some nice words followed by his birth date and his death date. they said it should be 30 to 40 minutes till the engravings are done so we drive over to the flower shop and buy a couple bouquets of flowers. then to blow some time we go to the ice cream shop. the ice cream shop doesn't seem like it used to be. it seems darker, sadder even. it's not the happy atmosphere it used to be. i got my usual cookie dough ice cream and he got strawberry again. we sat at a table in the back corner and i couldn't help but shed a tear or two.

an hour passes by and we go back to the wood shop at the edge of the town to pick up the piece of wood. we also pick up a little cross made of wood as well. the wood looks amazing. i started crying again when i saw it. my dad would've made it just as beautiful. maybe my dad wasn't a wood carver for a living but he was still amazing at it. this piece of wood is beautifully polished with gorgeous writing on it. it's amazing

after we pick up all we need i ask wyatt which streets he was on when he got hit. he told us the street and we went there. we go to the side of the road where my dad passed away. we hung up the cross and the wood. we lied the flowers down there and left a little memorial. it was beautiful.
