I ran that was all I had done for over a year now. They almost caught me at the last planet but when I had landed on Tolar my ship exploded beyond repair. That was when they stopped looking believing I was dead.
That was almost a month ago. Thankfully I landed a day's walk from civilization. All it took was a little tweaking of my disguise and I looked like I belonged. For once I was treated like everyone else. The only thing about being like everyone else is that I was treated like trash and I couldn't fight back or my cover would have been blown. Unreliable technology and all that.
Then they showed up.The five lions of the famed Voltron. It seemed they were here to ally themselves with the planet. As soon as the tallest one stopped talking the paladins seemed to split up.
Then I saw her. She was the smallest paladin who had her head on a screen the whole time the tall dude was talking. I think she was a she anyway. The thing that told me was that the others seemed protective of her. But before I could think of other reasons she turned and walked towards her lion. Not totally sure what I was thinking I followed her. With her head on her screen, she didn't seem to notice.I ran that was all I had done for over a year now. Not totally sure what I was thinking I followed her. With her head on her screen, she didn't seem to notice.
After walking for a few dobosh we had made it to her lion. I had made it this far without getting caught so I risked it and walked in making sure to stay a good bit behind her.
As soon as I got into the cargo bay the door closed and I was stuck. Knowing I couldn't get out I slid into the shadows. That is when she put her screen down and walked almost on top of where I was standing. After walking towards the middle of the room and taking her helmet off she said, "Come on out, I know you're here somewhere." Waiting a couple of seconds I stepped out knowing that even if I didn't she would find me. After looking at me for about a dobosh she said to me, "What are you really, because you are definitely too short to be Tolaran." Surprised I looked at her shoulder and said, "One, what do you mean I'm too short to be Tolaran, and two, even if I could show you what I actually would show you what I look like but I'm having technical difficulties." As soon as I finished talking she got this excited look on her face and ran into what I'm thinking was the cockpit. She returned moments later with a box of tech pieces and said, "So what exactly are you having technical difficulties with?" I pulled up my sleeve and showed her my camouflage device and handed it to her hesitantly."Why do you trust me?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I just kind of followed you and hid in your ship, for all you know I could be trying to hurt you."
"But you aren't, are you?"
"No, I just need somewhere to go that isn't under galra control."
"That isn't very easy to find."
"You're telling me."
We sat on the floor and she worked on it while I explained some of the mechanisms. Eventually, she hands me back my device, "Done, I hope. Now can I see what you really look like?" I nodded and terminate the illusion. I think it worked so I asked her if I looked different. She studied me for a minute and nodded. Knowing that my disguise was gone my hand automatically went to my hair, which used to be a hood but no longer was. My device had glitched the first day so it had been over a phoeb since I had felt like myself and I felt tears run down my face. Not even my appearance changing scared her but somehow me crying did. Right before she was about to walk over to me her lion started buzzing and she walked into her cockpit.
