The Asleep Paladin

Sage's POV

God, Pidge is taking forever she has been gone for almost 3 hours. Maybe she is just training, that or lost herself explaining tech. Training, crap, I haven't trained since I met Pidge. Maybe I will train once everyone falls asleep but the cameras. I mean I could always delete the footage, but what if they check it.
Alright, I'm going to check on her. I grab her tablet and find the current footage in the training room. She isn't in there so she must be on her way. She is probably tired, being that we pulled a few all-nighters talking about different types of tech. I clean off her bed and start working with some tech.
After working for a little bit I hear the scanner beep telling me that Pidge is coming in. I turn around but the figure is much bigger than Pidge so I try to hide as much as possible.
The figure walks in and that is when I could finally tell that Pidge was asleep in his arms. As I try to back up any further I knock I piece of tech on the floor alarming him. He closes the door and says, come on out I know your there. Knowing that I'm stuck, I come out. When I come out he sits on the floor and having a pretty good idea where I was he motioned me to sit in front of him. He was giving off caring and kind of fatherly vibes I went and sat in front of him. That surprised him and the first thing he asked me was,

"Who are you and what are you doing in Katie's room?"

Well, that was more straightforward than I was expecting.

"I will tell you only if you promise that no one not even Katie will know what I'm about to tell you. How I got here well do you remember when you visited Tolar and Pidge was in her lion most of the time? Well, she was in there for two reasons. One being that she caught me after I followed her in and two she actually had stuff in her lion to work on.
Apparently, I'm better than someone named Coran when talking about tech. At least I think that was his name."

As soon as I said that he smiled and said,

"That's our Pidge keeping secrets for the love of technology. Alright, so I know how you got here but who exactly are you?"

I sigh but before I start,

"This part you can't tell Katie I will tell her eventually but now isn't the time." He nods and I truly start my story, "My name is Sai Hark, and go by Sage. I was a famous tech genius from the Quartz system but while I was visiting another system the galra attacked. Once I found out I realized that I had to hide from the galra so I ran to Tolar and met Katie. I can't tell anyone who I am because the galra will go after me that and I may have screwed with their tech and almost got caught."

He stood up and hugged me but quickly put me down after realizing that I was pushing away. He said,

"Sorry about that and since you spilled your life story I'll tell you mine. My name is Takahashi Shirogani but call me Shiro."

He continued and told me how he was caught by the galra and how he escaped. Before he got much further we heard Pidge moving around almost waking up and he got up and left whispering,

"Your secret is safe with me."

Minutes after he left Pidge woke up. After meeting Shiro we figured out a schedule Pidge slept at night, I sleep during the day, and before Pidge leaves for breakfast we spent time talking about the plan for the day and about tech.
