Undeniable Chapter 13
The Finale
It had been two weeks since that day Oliver and I kissed. By now, everyone in our social circle knew about the two of us and everyone in their social groups knew and the exponential roller coaster goes on. The good thing, though, was that I didn’t care that everyone knew.
The day that Draco figured it all out was a fabulous day for me. I was standing at the doorway of my classroom, the one freaking class I had with him. At least it was English, my favorite class. Anyway, I was standing at the side of the doorway with Oliver by my side, his hands wrapped tightly around my hips. Draco came up to the doorway and was about to enter till he saw me and him wrapped in each other’s arms.
“Looks like you moved on quickly,” he said in a gruff tone.
“Yeah, turns out, good things come to those who wait, while bad things flow away.” That sentence gave him a look of shock.
“Yeah, I guess it does. I don’t know why you even tried with me.”
I laughed and looked him in the eyes. “I honestly don’t either. Oliver is ten times better than someone who was too oblivious to even realize or accept feelings. Good thing most people know what feelings are otherwise, I don’t think you would have known the definition. You were glitter but I found my diamond.” I turned around to walk into the classroom and I ultimately knew that I was over Draco. No feelings whatsoever.
I walked into class with a smile on my face as Oliver walked to his class.
“Someone is happy,” someone said and I turned to look at the owner of the voice: Daisy.
“Yeah, I am. I had an epiphany that I no longer have any feelings for Draco. That realization is great.”
Daisy smiled, “This means that you can fully and completely move on with Oliver!”
“Yeah!” I squealed and we both laughed like cliché school girls.
“Finally! I was waiting till the day when you two could finally get together and actually put the label on you two.” She sounded relieved and slightly exasperated which made me smile.
“What’s all of the excitement about?” We both turned to see Jose and Daisy took the liberty of filling him in. He said the exact same thing as Daisy: “Finally!”
“So are you two together now?”
“No. I have to tell Oliver that I can officially move on with him and then he has to grow the cajones to ask me out.”
They nodded their heads and Jose checked his messages on his phone before the class started. The teacher piped up and began to introduce the topic of the day while some students zoned away, some students talked away, and some students, like Daisy and I who actually payed attention. That’s probably the reason why we were two of his favorite students.
Our class ended more quickly than we realized and it was time for my off hour. I bagged up all of my books and my notebook and asked around if teachers needed help. Some already had TAs for that hour but a few had me run a few errands to other teachers or to make copies.
By fourth hour, I was in a pretty good mood but I did not want to go to math. Math was tedious and we had a test coming up. I actually got a lot done, but sometimes, my head hurt after going to that class.
Oliver waited for me at the door of the class when the bell for lunch rang. He walked me to the side doors, took my backpack and gave me his jacket in return.
