PAUL BERNARD - June 20, 1929 - September 25, 1997

Family and friends with to announce the passing of our beloved, Paul Bernard, on September 25, 1997, in Twickenham, Middlesex, England, at the age of 1968.

Paul Bernard was one of the pioneers of British television.  His career began in 1959, as a designer for numerous productions ITV Playhouse, Ghost Squad, the Trouble with Harry and the Avengers.  In 1965, he began to direct, including Z Cars, Tom Jones, the Tomorrow People, Doctor Who and Coronation Street. He also distinguished himself as an art director, composer, writer and producer.  In recent years, his work revolved around the stage and he was involved in many productions.  In 1992, he returned to television to produce and direct The New Doctor, a spin off of the classic series Doctor Who.

Services will be held on September 29, 1997, at 3:00 pm, at Twickenham Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to Paul's charity.

Rest in Peace, you are missed.
