"Why does his tears keep bothering me, he's just a stranger ", why can't I forget about him, who exactly is he to affect me so much like this, God I have no idea why I feel this way, please be in control of my life",
I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize when a guy came to join me on my table
"If it isn't the beautiful sister of mine who else will be here looking so lost in thought", said Raymond as he waved his hands to get her attention
"I'm not your sister, you are a stranger to me", I said angrily remembering the past ; how he left me alone in our adopted parents house and he never came back, it's been 3 years since he left yet he bothered to show his face now
"I thought we have moved on from the past, I thought you have forgiven me I'm sorry Testy , I'm truly sorry please", said Raymond as he tried to hold her hand
" Don't touch me and don't you ever call me that,you have no right to, because you are not my brother so it will be better if you don't ever show your face to me because you are nothing but a stranger to me", I said as I felt the stinginess of the hot unshed tears burning my eyes
" I just hate you ", I said as I stood up and left running out of the restaurant but I hit a body wall which caused me to lose balance but a strong hand held me and my face was in his palm
"Hey, are you alright, wait are you crying ", said the owner of the voice that has been haunting me day and night causing me to have sleepless nights.
I was lost in his eyes; they look amazing
Bolu's POV
"What is wrong with her, why was she crying",
"Testimony, are you alright",I asked as I made sure she was stable before I released her
"I'm okay thanks ", said Testimony as she cleaned the tears clearly running down her face
"No you are not ", I said silently as I used my handkerchief to clean her face
"Why do I feel so concerned about her, what makes her different from every other girl, why do I feel pain just by seeing her tears, what is going on",
Testimony's thought
His palm on my face gave me so much warmth as I couldn't help but to cry harder, I felt so vulnerable in his presence
"Please stop crying ", I said as I had no idea of how to cheer her up as I watched her cry
"You know you look less pretty when you cry ", oh boy, how could I just say that oh no
After an hour or so ,she finally stopped her cries as her nose looked so red
"Thanks", she said timidly as she looked down
"It's alright, you also helped me when I was feeling so down ", I said remembering the embarrassing moment I shared with a stranger and to make the matter worse it was a girl
"Still thankful though, why were you crying that day, oh I'm sorry that's your personal matter", said Testimony as she looked at me
"No problem , why were you crying ", I asked
"I just saw the person I once loved so much again after I was deserted by him", she said as we sat down on a bench close to the fountain
"Do you still love him", I asked her believing she was talking about her ex- boyfriend or so
"I hate him so much but the more I claim to hate him the more heartbroken I am because I want us to be together again, I missed him ", she said as the forgotten tears fall again
" He must have been a nice boyfriend", I said
"He's my brother ,if he was a boy, I wouldn't cry this much", she said
"I feel so glad to know he's not her boyfriend"
"Oh, if you still love him ,you have to find a way to make things right with him, I could remember a day before I lost my parents,I had a fight with my dad , it wasn't a small fight but I couldn't apologize or amend things with him, before he died and whenever I think about this I feel so sad ", I said sniffing as I looked away
Testimony's thought:
This must be a top secret in as much as he said this so casually,I could feel his sadness and regrets, he couldn't make up with his dad before he lost him , that's so sad
"Was that why you cried ", she asked
"Yeah , it isn't a good feeling Testimony knowing you didn't make up with someone you love before you lose them forever, it hurts", I said as I looked at her
" Thanks for sharing this with me, I will try to make things right with him", she said smiling a little then her phone rang
"Sorry excuse me ", she said as she stood up to take the call
"Hey bro", I heard a loud call from a very familiar somebody; Ade
"Hey man", I said as I greeted him
"Don't tell me you are here to see a girl", said Ade
And there he goes again
"No, why are you here", I asked
"I'm here to have a date with my bae", said Ade
"Oh how could I forget you take girls more serious than your study", I said
" Life is not meant to be hard guy, a guy got to flex sometime " , said Ade then he saw his girlfriend walking towards them
"Hey bae", said Ade as he walked up to her giving her a light kiss
Admist this romance, there I was wondering why I felt hurt to finally know that the girl I had been thinking about all this while was my friend's girlfriend
"Bolu meet my lady, Testimony and Testimony,this is my guy Bolu", said Ade smiling
I couldn't bring myself to tell him ,I had already met her so I just went along with the flow
"Nice to meet you Testimony", I said repeatedly as I walked back to the hostel but a three jeeps encircled me preventing me from walking further as I was cut in the middle
"If it isn't the Alpha King ", said Damien as he sat down on top of the Jeep smoking
"The feeling is mutual , Alpha Damien, I thought I warned you never to show your face in front of me ever again", I said as I looked at him
"The feeling couldn't be helped", said Damien as he frowned heavily
