Alex watched in complete shock as his Aunt J sobbed her heart out onto the guy that kidnapped them. He had to admit even though the man or whatever it was a git, he did earn a smidgen of respect for looking out for his broken-hearted aunt. He was still so confused though. His mum was a bad guy? Like seriously, the woman who wouldn't even whack a wanker of a fly with a book no matter how much it bugged her? But Aunt Jean would never lie either, and what was with her flying in the air? That was some voodoo hoodoo stuff he heard his dad rant about when Alex himself wanted to go to the tropics for a family adventure. His dad nearly had a heart attack explaining the shrunken heads, rituals, and dark magick to him at the mere age of five. There must be something missing in the translation, Alex thought and gripped the sides of his head annoyed. His family always got along great, like an oasis in a desolate desert. Now it was like everything was a mirage. He had to figure out how to help his Aunt J feel better and fix this problem. After all, he and his aunt were tight, and he loved his mum and dad so much. Alex raced off to find something to cheer up his aunt.

After Jean was done crying Meela escorted her to a tent so she could rest. Jean merely plopped down like a sack of potatoes on her bed. Her entirety felt as if it had dissipated, leaving merely a hollow feeling deep in her being with an ever-burning of stinging and the sense of someone stabbing her heart repeatedly while squeezing the life out of it. Jean still couldn't wrap her head around it. Her sister was the one who cursed her with her current health condition and to keep her from loving anyone for eternity? It was the complete opposition of her sister. Yet, she had saw the proof right before her reincarnated eyes. Jean felt another gut wrenching sob escape her lips. Too exhausted to think of anything else she curled up in a ball and hugged her knees to her chest, eventually falling into a restless sleep.

Imhotep could only stand outside his love's tent. His heart was breaking into a million pieces again at hearing her wails of despair. He felt so powerless despite being immortal and nearly invincible. He looked at her tent with his face filled to brim in distorted agony. How could he fix this? He was so deep into his thoughts he didn't even notice Alex come up next to him. Imhotep nearly jumped with the little boy cleared his throat next to him.

"Urm, uh I don't know if this'll help, but do you want to team up to make my Aunt J feel better? And I don't mean terrorize my family or anything either." Alex muttered out, his pride definitely inherited from his American father.

Imhotep looked dumbfounded at the "Alexander the Great". The boy wanted to help him? The guy who kidnapped him, scared him, then "accidentally" nudged him in the water? Imhotep looked back at the tent before turning to the boy to bow at him. Alex broke out in a huge grin before slapping his hand into Imhotep's for a handshake. Imhotep looked confused before nodding and following Alex. Perhaps this little fellow wasn't too bad after all.

Jean awakened with a clogged nose and small sniffling. She glanced towards the entrance of her tent to see her little nephew peek his head in.

"Hey Aunt J." He softly said with a gentle smile. Jean could only muster a wavering smile at him before blowing her nose, rather loudly, in her hand embroidered silk handkerchief. Alex stifled a laugh before elbowing Imhotep behind him to follow him in the tent. Jean looked at both surprised, they were actually willingly together and not causing mischief? Alex cleared his throat before doing a grandeur flourish of a bow with Imhotep. Jean looked confused before they started mimicking a Shakespearean comedy. By the time they were done Jean had tears rolling down her cheeks, from so much laughter.
