Ever since you and Baxter became a thing, it seems like he's fallen in love with your hair. Strange isn't it?
Whenever you're helping him with his experiments, that you're only allowed to help with because Angel is a klutz when it comes to fragile things and Alastor is well...Alastor, Baxter tends to over stress himself.
One day when he stressed himself with some new formula he's testing, his hand brushed over your ever-so-soft (h/l) (h/c). You didn't notice his movement at first, so you continued your assistant work. Till you started to notice a small weight on your head, petting your hair. Was he petting your head??
You glanced over at him expecting him to be tired from over stressing over this new thing, but no, he's contently staring at your hair and petting it, with a calmed and content look on his face. Your fluffy locks seem to be a stress reliever, to him. You smile to yourself and go back to working before he starts panicking over touching you like this.
Ever since then, you managed to get a small couch moved into his lab, off to the corner where nothing sat, to make sure nothing important broke. You thanked Angel and Charlie for that. Now you and Baxter can take breaks in a more comfortable fashion, since he barely likes to leave his lab alone unless you drag him out to dinner with everyone. And to appease his stressed mind as well.
Since the couch was installed, it seems like every time he was stressed out to much he would tug on your sleeve and lightly tug you over to the couch where you happily let him pet your hair as long as he needed to before continuing work. You would have to lay your head in his lap though, since you're taller than him. Your legs would dangle off the arm of the couch but you didn't mind, not at all. Sometimes you ended falling asleep in his lap too, his calm touch is relaxing enough.
