Grumpy Cat

It really surprises Husk how optimistic you can be in this place. Hell isn't a sunshine and rainbows place, you knew that of course, but you always want to see smiles on your friends faces, even your grumpy Husk.

One day while he was working at the bar in the hotel you come up cheery as ever. He looked at you and his grumpy cat expression softened a bit, smiling a little just for you. He only smiled when you were around. Charlie wondered why you were the only person to make him smile, you wondered about it sometimes too.

Husk walks over to you while cleaning a glass. "What's up (Y/n)? Do you want a drink? It'll be on me."

You shake your head. "No, I'm fine! I just wanted to see that smile of yours!" You beamed.

He chuckled a bit. "Luckily you know how to brighten my day (N/n)."

You smiled happily and stretched over the counter and kisses his cheek. he blushes and looks away before coughing. You look at him with slight concern, but it was hard not to smile at his reaction.

"I-I'm fine! I'm fine." He clears his throat and goes back to cleaning the glasses.

You giggle and stand up and poke his nose as you walk to your room. Husk was always adorable when you ruffled his feathers. His flusters is something only you managed to do and you loved it. 

Sitting on the bed you contemplate on what to do for the rest of the day till Husker gets off work. You end up deciding to read while you wait. Getting up to find a book on the bookshelf, you get yourself comfortable on the bed.

After a few hours you start drifting off to sleep while reading.

When Husk got off work the first thing he did was slink into your shared room. When he noticed you fell asleep, he carefully snuggled next to you on the bed and wrapped his soft and warm wings around you both. He wonders how such an angel of a sinner gifted him with an emotion he thought he lost forever ago. He wonders how you got here at all since you're so happy and cheery almost like Charlie.

You wake up a bit from the noise of some shuffling. When you open your eyes your greeted with soft red wings laying over you and Husk snuggled up next to you with a sleepy smile on his face. 

Giving his forehead a kiss, you snuggle up next to him and you both enjoy a nice comfortable nap together.
