Charlie's first Halloween (Prt.1)

It's a few days before Halloween, and even though you were in hell, you couldn't help but get excited over the holiday like you were a kid again. You always loved Halloween, from your beginning to your end, and now in the afterlife. 

Charlie approached you one day. "Hey, (Y/n)? I want to ask why your so excited? Nothing special is happening, as far as I know." 

You looked at her, a bit confused. "Oh! I'm excited for Halloween coming up this weekend!" You smiled and looked up at the ceiling, wondering if their still alive and preparing for the holiday.

"Halloween?" She asked. "I don't think I've ever celebrated it before. Though I think some of the other citizens have. Mainly the imp children in Imp City."

You looked at her shocked. Not celebrating Halloween? This couldn't be accepted in the hotel. You wouldn't accept it. 

"Well then, Charlie," You rested the broom you were holding against the wall. "This is your lucky year then! We're going to have your first official Halloween!" You clapped your hands and grabbed a clipboard and pen from the desk. 

Charlie smiled brightly. "Really? That'll be fun! Is it similar to what 'Christmas' is?" She asked. You laughed and shook your head.

"No, it's completely different." You wrote some things down on the paper. "Tomorrow, we're going to buy some pumpkins to decorate outside and in the hotel. We'll also buy a few bags of candy." You started mumbling the preperations.

Charlie looked excited like a kid on Christmas. It was adorable. You saw Alastor enter the room and Charlie beamed at him.

"Al! Guess what?!" She chirped.

"Was there another stock market crash?" He asked, then laughed. You couldn't help but chuckle at the dark joke.

"No silly, we're going to celebrate Halloween!" She bounced up and down happily.

"Interesting dear, but I have some things to take care of." He waved a hand in dismissal. 

You pouted a bit. "C'mon Al, do it for Charlie. She's never had a Halloween before. At least carve a pumpkin with us." You gave Alastor puppy eyes.

After a minute, he sighed and patted Charlie's head. "Fine, I'll carve a pumpkin with you and (Y/n)."

Charlie beamed with joy and squeed. She told you that she was going to ask the others if they wanted to participate too. You smiled as you watched her leave and find the others.

Alastor looked at you with a natural smile. "So, you're the one who introduced her to the idea?" 

You nodded. "Yeah. Halloween was my favorite holiday when I was alive." 

"I can't really say the same. But my mother would get a pumpkin to carve on occasion. It felt quite nice."

You wrote down all the preparations you needed to do by the end of the week. and you circled a small event idea you had for the other guest residence in this building. You planned on pitching the idea to Charlie later.
