Chapter 15~ Danger! Beast frenzy!

*Emerin's POV*

The other bridge builders were sprawled on the ground, bloodied. I ran over to one of the bridge builders and checked his pulse. " He's alive, just unconcious." I checked the rest. " They're just unconcious, not dead."

Suddenly, the mist thickened. Oh kami, noo...

It was Zabuza.

My life can't get worse.

Kami, I think I jinxed myself earlier. Right after I said my life couldn't get any worse, some idiot threw senbon needles at me. I flipped backwards, over the needles, and found myself in the middle of mirrors with Misuno, and Sasuke??!! NOOO!!!!! WHY SASUKE???? WHY THE DUCK ASS???? Oh yeah, by the way, I know about their little...*Ahem* secret. Heh heh... Oh jello! Now is not the time to have the attention span of a human! Wait what?! Oh yeah, It's true. Humans have the attention span of seven seconds... AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!! I'm still not paying attention!!!! Hit me guys.

No, I don't mean literally! Yup, I seriously jinxed myself since the minute I finished talking, stupid senbon needles hit me. And that hurt. I winced as I pulled out the needles one by one.

Then another round of senbon needles hit me in the front. I coughed out some blood. Ok, I was really starting to hate senbon needles.

I turned to look at the others. They were practically in the same condition as I was.

Suddenly, Naruto jumped in yelled some random s**t. I got a irk mark "Naruto!! I'm glad that you came and all but you coulde've targeted the friggin mirrors instead of being so flashy, you idiot!!!"

And all that cool guy composure went straight out of the window. Or should I say mirror? Oh pudding! This is not the time to have the attention span od a guppy!

Another round of senbons came at me and the rest of my team. I quickly did handsigns. " Crystal style, Crystal protection wall!" And a huge barrior emerged, shielding all of us.

The senbon bounced off the walls harmlessly. " Guys, we're fighting a losing battle. There's no way we can land a hit on this guy if we attack head-on. That, instead, would be sucide. Our only choice is to attack from behind. But we'll a divirsion." I looked at them sadly. " We need someone to be a diversion but that person would most likely...die." Misuno slowly said as the rest of them caught on.

"I'll-" "I'll do it, believe it!" Naruto volunteered before I could. "Naruto, no! You can't do this! This is sure death and I don't plan on sacrificing any of you! I'm the one who suggested this so I should do this!" I yelled.

"I'll still do it. I won't sacrifice you either." "I don't care! I'll do it and that's final!" Then I released the jutsu.I expected Naruto to follow the others but no, he had to defy my orders to be the diversion. You know, you'd think he was in hurry to die.

I saw the guy, Haku, I think, throw senbons at Naruto. I yelled out his name and threw myself in front of him to protect Naruto.But Naruto was too scared to move. I braced myself for the hit and closed my eyes for the incoming death.

I waited, and waited some more. Dude, dying dosen't take this long. What gives?

I slowly opened my eyes. I felt tears come to my eyes. It appears I didn't get there first. Because there, Misuno stood, with her arms flung outwards. I had protected her. Now, she protected me. She fell backwords but I caught her. Tears dripped down my face. "Why? Why?! WHY?!" I sobbed, tears pouring my face. "It's because... I...I can't b...bear to s...see you d...die. During t...this mission, I...I've been n...nothing but a b...burden. Y...You've protected me, gave m...me a...ad...advice. Heck, y...you've nearly died for m...me, w...when I'm s...supposed to p...protect you. H...heh, now, at l...least i c...can die, knowing y...you're safe. G...good...goodbye Emerin." Misuno's eyes dimmed and closed.

I held her close, tears still streaming down my face. " Have you never seen a friend die? This is all part of being a shinobi. She ran to protect you, knowing it was a trap. And protect you she did. She died, worthy of being a true shinobi." With that, Haku went back into his mirror.Suddenly, I felt my eye changing.

I gritted my teeth in anger and hatred.I gently placed Misuno down. It hurt so much. Misuno... she was my only light.She...she was everything to me. The only person I geniunely cared for. The only one who understood me. My best friend and sister, not by blood. My hands clenched, shaking in pure fury. Haku took her away from me. He'll pay for this. And that was when everything went dark.

*Kakashi's POV*

I fought with Zabuza, our weapons clashing together, when I felt a dark arua that made the atmostphere heavy. Was it Zabuza? No, it can't be. It was much to evil to be Zabuza's. THere was only one presence that I knew felt like this. I felt it twelve years ago. The nine tails! That means...Naruto! Wait... this presence feels... different. Only slightly, but the differance is there.

But... who could be the source?

" I want to know why it was sealed into me..."

My eyes snapped open. Emerin! She must be the source. I don't know what she was talking about back then but I think I know enough to think Emerin must be the souce of all this evil chakra. I needed to stop whatever was happening. I grabbed one of the scrolls from my vest and drew my blood on it.

"Zabuza, I know that this goes against your style, but why don't we settle this in the next blow?'

'Hm, tempting. But what do you have to settle this?"

And we charged for each other.

*Third Person's POV*

The genin watched in horror as Emerin was enveloped in a white chakra that screamed evil. The ice mirrors started melting and cracking as the chakra licked at it. "What is this chakra? It's enormous! And it's visble too!" Haku thought. The senbons in Emerin's skin flew out and her cuts started healing before everyone's eyes. Emerin's hairpin snapped and her hair started flying everywhere. A low growl escaped her throat before she charged,snarling furiously.
