Truth

I yawn awake.
I wake up not in my bed.

I wake up in Reds place. I guess late night Monopoly, with him and Dembe, did it in for me.

I never thought that they would like that kind of game.

I won of course because I'm AWESOME.

The room still dark.
It was three in the morning. Still groggy and tired, I pull the covers off of me and turn on the night table lamp. I was in the room all by myself.

Wondering where Red is?

I get up to walk out of the big master bedroom.

Before walking out of the door I realize, I'm wearing a different shirt than before.

It was something of his. A dark blue tee shirt.

The tee shirt was falling off my shoulder.

I pull the shirt up to my nose. It smells like him.

It was an earthly floral smell.

I open the door, walk down the hall into the living room.

It was dark but I saw him. Laying on the couch sleeping.

He had his armed crossed with his head on one of the throw pillows.

I wander around in the dark to find a linen closest. Taking a blanket.
 I try to be silent.

He looked so peaceful sleeping like that.

I didn't want to wake him. I slowly drape the blanket over him. I still can't believe that I found him. That we found each other. I would never think that I would know him to let alone see him ever again.
I have learned so much about him.

Nothing about his past but small things he does. Little everyday things.

I'm awake now and I can't go back to sleep. In the dark, I decide to get ready for the day. I head to the bathroom to take a shower.

The bathroom was massive. By my standards. It was big enough to fit a bath and a shower.

It was a room of white.

The bath was on the right and the shower was on the left.

The shower had clear glass on the top and bottom.

In the middle, it was blurred glass. It was so pristine.

It almost makes me not to go and mess with anything. But I can't go one day without a shower.

I walk over to the shower door. The chrome handle was ice cold.
I turn on the water and wait to tell it gets warm enough.

The steam fogs up the glass. I peek my head out of the bathroom door. The rest of the house is dead quiet.

I close the door and walk back over to the shower. Standing with my back to the mirror,

I take off my shirt and bra.
I look over my shoulder and see the many marks that were left on my back.

The scars that I have.

The marks that I was punished with.

I just look at them. I think. He has seen them. He changed my shirt I presume. So he must have seen them.

I wonder what he thought. I wonder what he did when he first looked.

I know I was half asleep when he did see them. I bet he just looked at me with sad eyes.

I carry on with taking my shower.

When I'm done I take one of the soft cotton towels and dry off.

I take my clothes and put them on. I wrap the towel around my dripping hair and walk out of the bathroom. I see that the light is on in the living room. I walk back into the room where I slept.

I saw Red sitting on the bed.

It was quite.

He has no reaction to my presence. I walk over and sit next to him.

I know what he is thinking. He looks at me.

"Sam its time to tell me the  truth."
