"Sam its time to tell me the truth.

"I saw them, Sam. The scars on your back. Who did that to you?" He says soft and slow.

I don't know what to say. He puts his hand on my leg.
Looking at me with a concerned face.

"Red. I can't tell you. If you knew......... I can't...okay."

I move his hand off my leg and stand up. I didn't know what else to do. I want to run. That's what I'm good at. I always run from my problems.

He grabs my hand.

The towel falls from my head to the ground. He stands up.

"I want to know Sam," He says more forcefully.
I walk toward him tell there is no distance between us.

I lay my head on his chest.
As a reaction, he wraps his arms around me.

He softly rubs my back.

"Dad I love you. And if you love me back, stop asking."

I pull away from him grab my things and walk out the door.
