Tord:
Time passed as Red and Blue leaders began to grow closer together. Tom and I in the meantime did a bit of exploring of the base on our own. The base had grown double in size and slight changes in some soldiers depicted the worlds had collided but interestingly enough the base did better at organizing itself than our two leaders had done.

"So, What do you think we'd have to do to get this... Taken care of?" I looked around the base as I spoke to Tom that walked beside me, "It won't be easy to slip past the gate anymore. Double the soldiers means double the chance of getting caught."

"Not necessarily... There was a tunnel I remember running across on my base at home. Although yours had a similar set up I believe that this has merged the two." He looked around at half of the building that I had never seen before then to the other half, "It Is a bit confusing that's for sure. I'm not sure where it would be in this new set up. It was hidden very well and wasn't even in the blueprints. I take it that it was Pau's idea. He always did sneak around the place and I'd considered asking for his trust if we were to ever run."

I looked at him confused and chuckled, "That sounds so much like Pat."

"No? Pat was more uptight and timid about anything that went against the ru-"

Tom stopped talking when I placed my hand on his shoulder with a smile, "Different worlds... Remember? It seems as if anyone that was typically paired together in one way or another swapped places in this world compared to yours. It's confusing now that we're all together."

"Y-Yes, I suppose so. It feels strange to see a version of myself so cruel and abusive like that. Not to mention perverted and sick! Does he do that often to you? You can't even defend yourself he has you so broken!"

Hearing him say that I glared at him, "I can't defend myself? Well, isn't that funny to hear? Who let himself be shoved to the ground like a child even though he's big enough to stand his own?"

"I- I uh... S-sorry. I'm just frustrated. Everything just feels like I'm looking back at myself I hate it. I see myself in you and I want it to change..." He sat down near by and held his head in his hands sadly.

"Listen... The more we focus on that the longer it will take to figure this out. I suggest we put our heads together and figure out how we're going to break out of this mess. Maybe we could end up thinking a bit like the two of them and get our shit together enough to stand strong against them without fearing the repercussions. Nothing is going to get done without a plan."

Tom nodded and looked at me from where he sat, "Let's just take our time with it. If we came up missing so soon wouldn't the leaders question everything all of a sudden? Red already had questioned my loyalty for a while. Running off after meeting someone like you would prove we can't be trusted and our loyalty never was truly with them. They'll probably be keeping track of us more now. Once we get their trust back again and are allowed to go on missions that's when I think we should make a break for it. It seems more logical... Doesn't it?"

I pondered the idea and nodded, "I suppose you're right. Plus I would guess that the you know who would need some time to get things straightened out as well. Pairs of everyone seem to be a bit difficult to handle at times. I'm sure Edd and Matt will need time to figure things out. For my Edd especially. He'd go crazy if another one of him existed. I swear he's obsessed as could be with himself."

"Sounds like Matt. Carried a mirror with him everywhere for all of highschool. Now Edd... He was a real bad ass I'll tell you that. He could fight off a whole shit load of guys with just one arm. Of course the other hand always had a can of coke-a-cola."

"Matt's like that but instead of coke he loves Pepsi. I find it interesting how there's still some slight details off. I was curious, Are you... You know, you and Red um... Who exactly is top? If you know what I mean?"

He froze and tensed up a bit hearing my question before sighing, "To be honest I'm actually a switch. Now uh... Problem is, Red found out a little something about me and, well... Used it to my disadvantage."

"Oh?"

"Y-Yeah... He's got a thing for um... Unique people to say the least and I'm a bit different than most. I can kinda-" Tom looked down and shook his head, "Let's just say a few accidents happened and someone ripped my hopes away with how much of a controlling asshole he can be."

So he is... He's just like me, "I get what you're saying. You know, it's not that big a deal if you're a mix of two worlds. I'd say it's something amazing! I know I had something happen when I was in highschool between t- I mean blue and me... It was a last minute thing and I was really ready to go home after a party. My curfew was already over so my parents would kill me either way but, we ended up so drunk anyway we couldn't think and he kinda..." I looked down and sighed sadly, "I didn't really have a choice. After I found out, my parents made me put my son up for adoption... I just hope that he doesn't act like that pitiful excuse of a fucking fa-" Tom placed his arm around me and hugged me close to him before I went off the deep end and yelled about the bullshit I'd gone through.

"Sometimes choices are split in two ways. I skipped that chapter in life. I didn't want to get in trouble. I almost did but I had a Edd drive me home. I hope that kid of yours hasn't turned out like him. Sometimes, one person can change the course of history. I hope he's doing the right thing..."

"T-thanks..." I hugged him back and almost let myself sink into all he was. I wanted to stay like this forever but the speakers all over the base called for us to come to the main building.

"We should get going... If we're not there soon they'll wonder where we went."

"God, they ruin everything..."

Tom chuckled softly and let go of me ruffling my hair, "One step at a time. You're dangerous Tord. Sometimes? I question if you aren't really red leader."

"W-what? What do you mean? I'm- I'm not that scary..."

"If you let yourself relax? I bet you could be. Perhaps, you're even stronger... One thing's for sure though, I have the same pull to you as I do to him. That's hard to admit. I feel like I've known you for years even though I just met you. I can't help but think though... This place is going to come down to one thing... Us?" He looked at me when he said that and turned to see the main building with his voice growing as dark and deep as Blue's, "Against them. But, we need to obey for now... Until we can find a way."

He started forward towards the main building and I couldn't help but think how odd it was. It felt like something true. A destiny that maybe was written in the stars without choice. Maybe all of this was meant to happen... Like he said it would end with us, against them.
