I steady myself down the hall and push open the large door welcoming Luke's office. I instantly blush as I'm reminded of the intense actions that happened the previous night.
"Good morning sunshine" Luke smirks as he looks up to me from his paperwork.
"Good morning"."Why are you working? It's 10 in the morning" I ask.
"I was just doing some catch-up work I didn't do yesterday. But I'm finished now" Luke chuckles with his throat.
"Good" I awkwardly smile. Luke chuckles to himself before rising from his chair, using his muscular arms to push on the desk. He makes his way towards me with that stupid cheeky smirk on his face and wraps an arm around my body.
"You were amazing last night, best night of my life" Luke whispers from inches away.
"Yes, I did quite enjoy myself" I laugh.
"So sexy" Luke chuckles as he rolls his tongue over his lips and then leans in and closes the space between our lips. Light knocking on the door interrupts our kiss and I quickly back away from Luke and smile awkwardly.
"Come in Carl" Luke says and motions his hand towards his body. Carl gives me a warm smile as he enters the room.
"Mr Brooks, is there somewhere we can talk?" Carl asks as he formally keeps his hands tucked to his body.
"Sure, sure. Uh-ah Alisha, baby. Would you mind clearing my desk for me, it would be a serious help" Luke asks as he gives me puppy eyes. I roll my eyeballs and let out a dramatic sigh.
"Fine".
"Thankyou babe, you're the best! I have a surprise for you later too, you'll love it" Luke rushes as he quickly pecks my cheek and heads out of the room with Carl, obviously the conversation is too important for me to hear. I tick my tongue on the roof of my mouth as I look around the now empty room. I walk over to Luke's desk and begin to pile papers and letters and neatly stack them into his drawers. I gather all of Luke's loose pens and other nic-nacs and open his second drawer, my eye catches a glimpse of a letter with my name printed on it and I slightly frown.
"What an earth?" I ask myself as I inspect the letter. I turn the envelope over to see it has already been opened so I just pull out the letter and unfold it."I'm back" Luke smiles as he shuts the door behind him.
"Alisha, how are you? I'm doing okay. It's almost winter and people are already becoming weak. Thorner's are everywher-"
"Where did you find that?" Luke demands.
"In your drawer, why didn't you give it to me?" I ask and fold the letter back up.
"I kept it for your own good" Luke insists and walks towards me.
"Are you sure? I've been aching to know for months weather or not Calum is alive and he wrote a letter to me and you didn't want me to know he was alive" I shake my head in disappointment.
"Why do you care so much about Calum!?" Luke growls.
"Because he's my friend! And yours too, but you don't care for anyone. Remember." I scoff and lift myself out of the chair and storm out of the room.
"No, lish" Luke sighs in defeat and grabs my body as I attempt to walk past him. "I'm sorry, I was jealous and I always had a feeling in the back of my mind that you liked Calum a little more than me and I didn't like that" Luke explains.
"Luke. I love you. I told you that, don't you believe me?" I frown.
"I know I'm sorry, I love you too" Luke says and kisses my forehead. "Do you forgive me?" Luke asks with hope in his eyes.
"Give me a day or so and I might" I laugh.
"What about if I gave you your surprise?" Luke smirks.
"Luke I hate surprises" I groan.
"I know, but you'll love this one" Luke cheers and walks over to his desk.
"Okay what is it?"
"I'm letting you call your brother" Luke nods and holds up the phone for me to take.
"Wha-what? Are you serious?" I tremble.
"Mhm" Luke smiles and holds the phone out to me.
"Thankyou so much" I weep and engulf Luke in a bone crunching hug before taking the phone in my hand and placing it by my ear.
"Remember, I'm trusting you" Luke mouths as he walks out the room shutting the door to give me privacy. I let out a small gulp as I begin to dial the number, hesitating with every button but remembering the number better than I remember my own name. I punch in the final number and hunch forward over the desk and gripping tighter onto the phone with my sweaty hand. On the 4th ring a muffled noise sounds from the other line and a deep sad voice answers.
