Erin POV
"Who wants me dead?" I asked.
"Many people," Skipper explained,"Dianite, Dianite's followers, Capsize,"
"Wait, why Capsize?"
Skipper shrugged. "probably cuz you are his girlfriend. oh yeah, and also we have to kill your daughter."
Oh hell no. "Over my dead body." and then I grabbed a sword from the sword rack and charged.
Luckily, I only had to fight Capsize. Skipper kind of just sighed and walked away, probably because it wasn't his fight.
Lunging forward, I sliced downward, but met only the metallic surface of enchanted iron. As she swung her sword, I was forced to retreat since she had taken drunk strength pot. Hearing the portal activate, I grabbed a second sword and threw it blindly, not knowing who was there. But judging by the yelp, it was Tucker.
"I'll just be going then..." he said slowly, backing into the portal while eying the sword embedded in the stone beside him.
The fight continued for what felt like hours. strike, parry, backstep, lunge, repeat. But soon I began to tire. Soon I was backed up against the nether portal.
"Yar, this be the end for thee."
I braced myself, waiting for the eternal darkness.
It never came.
When I reopened my eyes, capsize's sword was being held in place by another sword, one that I didn't recognize. But I sure recognized the wielder.
"You know Capsize, I thought that we could've been friends. Obviously that's not the case." Jordan said through gritted teeth,"you have your chance. Run. Run far away. And don't come back for a long time."
She just smiled. "Yar, a pirate never be giving up, not without some leverage."
With that, she stepped back, only to throw her sword at me, impaling my leg.
Jordan POV
"No!" I yelled out, but I was too late. Capsize was gone, and for whatever reason, she took Erin with her.
"Well first things first," I whispered to myself.
Grabbing an empty book and quill, I quickly wrote out a prayer:
Lady Ianite
I come to you now with a request for information. I wish to know what the condition of the world is outside of this realm, on Earth.
