Pirates? At least, based on their speaking patterns. The fog is still too thick to see them, but they must be pretty close if we can hear them this clearly.
Then the fog dissipated and the sound of splintering wood echoed through the air. Standing before us was a grand 3 masted ship, and except for the hole in the front from Tom's underwater house, it looked relatively unharmed. After a few seconds of shock, we carefully walked over. After a quick climb, we noticed that the ship's hold had breached, and was filling with water. The ship would sink within minutes.
"Any survivors?" I called out.
"Two up here, I don't see any others," Tom called back.
"Grab one. I got the other. Everyone else get off the ship!" I yelled.
After a quick ladder climb to the deck, I spotted one unconscious figure. Running over, I noticed the rank on her shoulder. 4 gold stars. Captain.
(4 gold stars/dots is the rank of captain on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Dunno if you got that or not. )
