2 years before the Chesapeak Rippers terror faded into horrific memory

The people at this party were.. not his favorites to say the least. Hannibal thought nothing of the invitation to this dinner at Dr. Sartaines home. The man had just missed the chance for a second doctor title, but still insisted to throw this dinner, extremely excessive with meat. He looks around when his eyes catch Sartaine himself speaking to a young woman. Maybe 28. At most. The woman and him have a clear distaste in their expression. He steps closer, trying to catch onto what they are saying. "I know you invited me our of spite because I annihilated your work, doctor. Don't even try to deny it. But the, excuse me, bullcrap you smeared onto paper there was a total waste of the materials and my time. You are a man of faith and I can respect that. But trying to prove wrong Darwin's theory of evolution with the bible is a joke! I will not change my mind and I doubt any of my colleagues will either just because.. 'A woman can't know about these things'. I'll remind you that I have my two doctor titles and am still as much higher in rank of our professions as one gets in comparison to you. I was offered leadership of an entire hospital. You were barely even able to find a place. Welcome to the real world, Sartaine. What counts here is actual talent, not what is in between ones thighs. And I do not even mention chest because clearly you have more volume than myself. Excuse me." She turns around and his amber eyes catch her dark brown ones that almost seem black from some angles. Her short black hair is messily styled but frames her small face perfectly. Her face matches her body in the matter of how petit she looks. Thin, a bit on the shorter side with 5'5. Not a lot of chest to show, but lovely hips that match her shoulders. The blue simple yet beautiful gown draping around her matches her perfectly. As if it were made for her. "May I introduce myself? Hannibal Lecter.", he quickly takes the chance, completely throwing off the woman from her rage. She looks around for a second, then up to him. "Saturn Atlas. Pleasure to meet you." She shakes the hand he has offered her and smiles, despite still being enraged by the conversation with Sartaine. "I couldn't help but overhear some of your conversation and got curious. Could you explain it to me?", he asks and the young woman nods with a soft sigh. "Apologies you had to hear that.. Well.. As you might know Sartaine got the work he presented to have a second doctor title refused by the board. I am the head of that board for biology is my main field. What he presented was.. Well.. It was a joke. And we dismissed it mere seconds after it landed in front of us. Now.. I got invited to this dinner party because he knew I'd be uncomfortable around tons of meat and to try and get under my skin. I do wish I could strip the first doctor title from him.. Hopefully I'll find a reason soon." "Not a fan of meat I take it then." "I've lived vegan all of my life. I can't eat it. For my physical healths sake and I am so used to everything plant based that actual meat consumption makes me incredibly uncomfortable. At least in this amount.", the young woman confesses and Lecters eyes glance at Sartaine who looks like he is enjoying his little petty act of revenge. That very moment he decides that Sartaine would pay. "There are currently quite a few people dancing. Would you care to join me, Miss Atlas?" "I'd enjoy that, Mr. Lecter. Just not too long. I haven't eaten a lot today and don't fancy just collapsing." He leads her towards the group of already dancing people and they elegantly join. Her blue dress swaying with her. "May I invite you to dinner? One that you may actually eat?" Her dark eyes glimmer with amusement. "I would like that a lot. Until then.. How shall I address you?" "Simply as Hannibal." "Then you must address me as Saturn. I insist." He twirls her. "I think I'll manage that, Saturn."
They join the other guests, looking on and applauding, both a bit out of breath. She smiles at him. "This is my phone number, Hannibal. I am looking forward to seeing you again. I'll have to leave now. My shift at the lab begins in 8 hours. And I drive an hour home. Thank you for making this evening enjoyable." Hannibal smiles. "It was my pleasure." He places a kiss on her hand, accepting her card, then watches as she leaves, waving him one last time before exiting the house. On the card she had handed him he had her private phone and mobile number and address. And her full title. Dr. Dr. Saturn Atlas. What an interesting young woman.
He slides the card into is pocket.
Helena Mayburn, a 'friend' of his joins him. "I didn't know you liked them so young, Dr. Lecter. You made the poor little thing blush quite a bit while charming her." Charming her? Had he charmed her? He didn't even intend to. He just found her interesting. "I do find her quite appealing. Although I do not know if I would be right for a young, highly decorated woman such as her." "Who was she anyways?" "Dr. Dr. Saturn Atlas." Mayburn gasps. "Hannibal. What a catch. The youngest person to gain full control over a hospital and leading it successfully for more than two years before resigning and becoming the leading biochemist in the field of cancer treatment. And such a beauty too." He blinks, a bit overwhelmed by those news. "She is. Indeed." The woman chuckles. "You should snatch her up then. Before anyone else does. She is one of a kind, I'll guarantee it."
That she was indeed. Hannibal keeps his eyes on Sartaine.
He'd eventually deal with him that very night and prepare him for his meal, alongside the variety of plant based food that would be for Saturn.
