All of the most important things fell together on one date. The evening of the first dinner party for Hannibal to hold in a long time and the final announcement of their wedding to their definite guests and friends. Saturns including some of her colleagues and even a childhood friend of hers that she grew up with and Hannibals including the entirety of the upper society of Baltimore. But it was also to celebrate them moving in together into the large mansion they had promptly named the Cerulean. Much to the happiness of Saturn and her love for the shade of blue.
At seven pm the guests start arriving at the large building. First one to do so being Amber Greene. Saturns childhood friend. The shorthaired woman rushes towards the slightly shorter blonde who quickly hugs her friend to her chest. "Amber!! It's been too long!" Amber herself laughs and hugs her taller friend, kissing her cheek. "My favorite planet in the universe. Hello pretty.", the blonde laughs. Holding each others hands they step a bit apart, both glowing with happiness. "And this must be the lucky man to snatch her up and ruin our plan to marry if we were to be 35 year old singles.", Amber smiles, walking over to Hannibal. He finds himself almost.. enjoying the ball of energy that is Amber Greene. "Pleasure to meet you. Saturn has spoken a lot about you recently." "She better has. That would maybe halfway make up for the entire essays I have received about nothing but her rambling about how much she adores you." Hannibal casts a glance at his future wife who simply flushes and quickly looks away. "I hope your stay will make up for the inconvenience I have caused you." Amber smiles. "It will as long as I see you treating my girl with as much love and respect as she deserves. Things tend to get ugly when people don't." "Oh.. Do tell me." "There was this boy in highschool who invited her out on a dare and then stood her up. End of the story is that the guy moved away in shame and didn't even try to show up at our last reunion party." "What an interesting story. I do expect to be better than my last competitor at least." "You are. By far. Come on Hannibal. Amber. Stop teasing me.", Saturn whines and is quickly pulled into her fiances side and appeased with a kiss to her lips and one to the back of her hand. She smiles brightly while Amber playfully wolfwhistles until the doorbell rings once more. The staff they had hired goes to greet the now streaming in guests with champagne and the happy couple make it a point to greet them all. Helena Mayburn pulls the young woman into a hug and cups her face. "Look at you. Soon to be Mrs. Lecter." "Atlas-Lecter. We both thought it was too perfect to have my last name disappear since it matches my first name so well.", Saturn says and Hannibal nods pridefully. More guests come in and congratulate them. Once everyone is inside they give them a grand tour of the large home that ends in the large glass patio where under the light of lanterns, candles and fairy lights multiple tables have been set, all with high quality furniture. "For each meal you do have a vegan and a carnivorous option. Please just simply inform the staff we hired as to what you would prefer.", Saturn smiles, making many of the guests chuckle, including Hannibal. "The seats have been assigned. Your name card you may keep. Please take a seat.", he announces and with amused eyes the guests discover the name cards to be small bottles of good wine. About a full glass worth. They all get seated and so does the couple of the evening. Music plays softly as the staff runs around, getting all the orders and then serve the meals they had sometimes helped prepare but that were exclusively chosen and cooked by the soon to be married pair. The first of three courses is served and everyone seems to enjoy their food, especially when wine is offered alongside with it. Red, white and rosé.
Just before the desert comes out, Hannibal rises to his feet and clinks his knife against his glass, silencing the happily chattering guests. "I'd like to take this moment to thank you all for coming. We are very happy to have you all with us here this evening and want to announce the good news now before it'll be too late and you find out by visual. We are going to have our first child and if the doctor can be trusted we'll be welcoming a little girl into our home." The guests applaud while Saturn smiles. The entire evening she had only drank juice or tea. Ambers eyes are wide as she stares at her friend and grins. "We'd also like this chance to remind you that you are all invited to our wedding we'll hold in the Baltimore opera house on April 15th and that we are looking forward to seeing you there. And right now I have a really important question to ask one of you. Amber?" The blonde blinks. "Yes?" "You are and will always be the best part of my childhood and therefore I want to ask you this: Would you walk me down the aisle in place of my family?" The young woman nods and quickly hugs her friend with tears in her eyes while the people around them applaud. They smile at each other. "I love you so much, Satty." "Love you too Ambs."
Finally they part and Amber sits back down. "Excuse me. That hit me a bit more than I thought it would.", Saturn chuckles, blinking away the suspicious moistness of her eyes, while her guests chuckle with her.
"Anyways. We both are thankful that all of you could attend this little housewarming party of ours and hope that we will see you all again for our wedding. Thank you very much." They all applaud loudly and the couple sit down while the desert is served.

With that the feast ends and the guests leave for their homes until only Amber lingers behind. "I'm so happy for you Saturn. I love you to bits, you know that?" "I do. Thank you for always being my friend." They embrace again and then part. "I'll see you for your wedding day. "I hope you do.", Saturn smiles and Amber leaves, waving until she is in her car and gone.
Hannibal's arms wrap around Saturn's waist and she signs happily, leaning into him as his thumb strokes her still fairly flat stomach. Gently he peppers her neck with kisses.
The staff too had left. They were all alone.
"May I?" "You may." He swipes her off her feet and swiftly carries her upstairs. They would deal with the chaos left behind the next day.
