Ace and Magenta pulled up at Magenta's house. Magenta waved goodbye to Ace as she stepped out of the car. She blew him a kiss and walked up to the door. Ace sat there, waiting until she stepped in the house to ensure her safety. Magenta realized what he was doing and smiled as she opened the door.
"Honey, I'm home," she called to her aunt. Her aunt laughed as Magenta closed the door.
"Happy new year, Magenta," Holly said. "Where have you been?"
"Well, after the party, I got a text from one of my friends telling me they needed help babysitting a friend. So, we had Ace and her boyfriend babysit while her and I got our nails done," Magenta said as she waved her nails.
"Cute! I also got a text from one of your friends. It was spades. He was telling me about your new year party at your other friend's house." Magenta gulped. "And he also told me that-"
"Okay, fine, me and him are dating," Magenta interrupted. Holly's mouth hung open.
"I was going to say that he told me you were having trouble sleeping and to keep an eye on you. When did this happen!?"
"Uhm.. yesterday at the party. Well, technically speaking, today, because it was like 2 or something like that."
"And you weren't going to tell me? You were just going to walk inside my house without telling me? Just walk to your room?"
"Well, I would've told you eventually!"
Holly walked over to Magenta and smacked her arm. "You brat!"
Holly and Magenta talked for a little longer and then Magenta walked up to her room. She scrolled through Instagram for a bit and then fell asleep by 10.
The next day, Magenta woke up to her alarm blaring. She rolled over and pressed the snooze button, but Holly came in and forced her out of bed. After a long fight, Magenta finally went to get ready for school. She did all the normal teenage girl stuff that they do before school and headed out the door.
"Tell Clubs I said hey," Aunt Holly shouted at Magenta before Magenta closed the door. She rolled her eyes and smiled as she walked to the car parked in her driveway.
"Hey, Acey," she said as Ace opened the door for her and she hopped in the passenger seat. Ace smiled at her and closed the door. He ran over to the driver's seat and started the car.
The drive to school was very short, as usual. Ace parked his car in the parking lot and took the key out. They sat there like that for a second in silence.
"So," Ace said, breaking the silence, "What do we do when we get in there?"
Magenta took a deep breath. "I suppose we just do as we normally would."
"So, you don't want people to know that we're-"
"That's not what I meant at all, Ace. It's just that I really don't know how people are going to react and I don't want to have a day with people bashing me for my relationship."
"Bellissima, since when did you care what other people think?"
"I don't. It's just that I-"
"You what?"
"I really don't know," Magenta rested her elbow on the center console, leaning closer to Ace. "I just don't know. What if people tell Ava? What will Ava do? And don't even get me started on the school news. For all we know, they could-"
Ace cut Magenta off with a subtle kiss that quickly grew more passionate. Ace pulled away and looked Magenta in her eyes. "What if we just convince people we're in the talking stage still? It'll be just like usual, just a little more intimate. Hand holding at the most."
Magenta nodded. "I'd like that." Ace nodded and smiled at her. Suddenly, their phones dinged.
School News: Who's this we see with Ace in his car? Is that by chance Magenta? It is! And what are they doing? Making out!? *See Attachments*
"Shit shit shit!" Magenta whisper yelled.
"I'm sorry, pluie," Ace said sincerely.
"No, no. It's fine. This would happen eventually. It doesn't matter. We'll still walk into school like nothing happened."
"Alright." Ace hopped out of the car and Magenta did the same. Magenta walked into school first, Ace shortly after. They walked to their lockers and shoved their bags in their lockers. Ace's usual girl crew came over to his locker. "Guys, I don't want to deal with this today," Ace said.
"Why her?" one of the girls asked in disgust. "We are so much better. And we can show you a better time than she ever could." The girl winked. The other girls nodded, agreeing.
Ace was clearly uncomfortable. He was also having trouble finding the right words to say. He didn't want to say the wrong thing and make Magenta upset, but he also wanted to defend his girlfriend.
"Really? Because he said I showed him an unforgettable night," Magenta chimed in. Ace looked at her, both confused and extremely turned on. The girls were very shocked by Magenta's response. The supposed leader of the crew gained her composure quickly and fixed her shocked expression.
"Unforgettable or not, we can do better. More is always better."
"I think him and I both agree that I make up for all of you," Magenta winked at Ace. Ace gulped and nodded. Magenta grabbed his hand. "Shall we head to homeroom, babe?" Ace nodded. "Bye, ladies." Magenta waved to the girls as she walked with Ace to their homeroom classroom.
"Um, what was that?" Ace asked.
"Forget everything I said in the car. That was definitely worth it and I regret nothing. Who cares who knows? Actually, scratch that. I care who knows. I want everyone to know. Maybe then they'll leave you alone, before my jealousy gets me in trouble."
Ace smiled as they walked into the classroom together. Magenta took her typical seat next to Cayenne and Ace sat on the other side of her in his typical seat. Everyone's phones chimed and they all checked their phones.
School News: So, Ace and Magenta are possibly officially together. Who's excited? I think we all are. How will Ava react? How will their friends react? What about Ace's girl group? How will they react, and how will Magenta react to them? So many questions fill our minds, but at the end of the day, they're still people and we should treat them with lots of respect. With that being said, on behalf of everyone on the School News staff, thank you Magenta and Ace, and we love you both with all our hearts.

(A/N: Hey everyone! Sorry updates have been taking so long. I've really had to focus on myself recently and really take a break from all devices, but it is so great to be back. I also watched the first season of The Bachelor and I am so devastated. But anyway, thank you for reading and I love you with all of my heart <3 )
