School went by very quickly for the most part. It was full of simple comments, such as "Magenta, since when were you and Ace a thing?" Magenta didn't really mind. She just simply said "Since a few days ago." and go back to what she was doing. Some were happy for Magenta. Others, not so much.
"Ace was supposed to be mine, Magenta." Magenta turned around and saw Ava giving her a death glare.
"I'm terribly sorry, Ava, but he just didn't feel the same way."
"This isn't the last you'll be hearing of me."
Ava walked away and found Ace. "Acey!"
Ace turned and saw Ava. "Oh gosh.."
"Acey! I heard about you and Magenta. What happened?"
"What do you meant 'What happened?'"
"Between us? It was supposed to be you and me against the world.."
"Ava, I told you multiple times that I don't like you like that."
"Is she the one?" Ava blurted.
"What?"
"Does she make you feel wanted? Is she all you wanted?"
"Ava, you're talking nonsense."
"I want to know. I need to know, Ace."
"I don't have the time for this." Ace began to walk off, but Ava stopped him.
"What could I have done better?"
"Well, for starters, not be a bitch. And maybe also try not to hit on people's boyfriends, especially not mine." Ava turned around and saw Magenta looking at them, smiling with her arms crossed. Ace's face beamed as he walked over to Magenta.
"What did I need to do, Ace?" Ava sounded demanding.
Magenta took a step closer to Ava. "Ava, I'll say it one more time. Quit hitting on my boyfriend, and go get your own."
"What does she have that I don't, Ace?"
"Ava, you're going insane," Ace pointed out.
"Tell me!"
"Oh, Ava," Magenta walked over to her and pulled her in for a hug. A shocked expression grew on Ace's face. Ava melted into Magenta's arms and cried.
"I- I loved him..." Ava whispered to Magenta.
"Sweetie, you never loved him," Magenta looked at Ava. "You just convinced yourself you did because you wanted the 'popular' guy."
Instead of responding, Ava nodded her head and cried some more into Magenta's shoulder.
"Do you want to go home?" Magenta asked, calmly. Ava nodded. "I'll cover for you."
Ava pulled out her phone and texted her mom, telling her she was coming home early. Then, Magenta escorted Ava out to her car. Ava gave Magenta one last hug. Ava hopped in her car and drove away.
Magenta walked back inside where she was greeted with a hug from Ace. "How'd you do it?" Ace asked.
"This is going to sound totally cliche, but she just needed a friend to listen to her. I saw that, and I took action. No biggie," Magenta shrugged.
The rest of the day went by pretty quickly. Magenta went to her last two classes and drove with Ace to her house. She waved bye to Ace and went inside. The day was very tiring, and Magenta fell asleep around 9 o'clock. When she woke up, it was time to get ready for school. She was ready very quickly and drove with Ace to school. She walked into school and toward her locker. When she opened her locker, a note fell out of it.
Meet me in the bathroom
- Ava
Magenta folded the note and put it back in her locker. She walked over to the bathroom and opened the door, stepping inside.
"Magenta," Ava called out.
"Ava."
"Listen, I know all this time I've been super mean to you because I was convinced that I loved Ace and stuff, but you really made me see things in a different way. I, um, hope we can be friends..?"
"Ava, all this time, you were the biggest bitch I knew," Magenta laughed at the thought. "However, yesterday I realized all you needed was a real friend. I'd be glad to fill that spot for you." Ava walked over and wrapped her arms around Magenta.

(A/N: Wow, what a cliche ending to the chapter. Honestly, I couldn't really think of a better reason for them to become friends. But, besides that, get excited, because the next chapter will be the LAST CHAPTER! It will be coming out very soon today. I already have an idea for a new book, but I can't work on three books at the same time, so I'm going to be ending this book. It'll just be a short story. Thanks for reading this far! I love you <3)
