Third Times the Charm!

Nobody's staring at you! I kept telling myself over and over as I walked in to my 7th period. It was Spanish the only class I had with him.

It was my only class with Aiden Rays. Aiden was a year older than me, and be incredibly smart I was in some advanced classes. I was the only sophomore in a junior class.

Aiden and I have gone out twice before. The first time didn't go so well. I ended things and we were best friends, but this summer something just sparked between us again and I fell hopelessly and madly in love with him.

Exactly three weeks before school started Aiden and I got into a big fight and he broke up with me for one if my best friends, A Junior Taylor Raddkinson. Taylor being a good friend turned him down flat.

The only people I even remotely knew in that class was of course Aiden, Taylor, Derek Martin ( Aiden's best friend) and Emma Dish who was one of my friends.

So now I just sat there in Spanish sandwiched in between the boy I loved, and the girl he loved. What was the worst though was that Aiden wouldn't even make eye contact with me. He just stared down blankly at his shoes. I would give anything to know what he was thinking!

The thing about Aiden though was he wasn't the hottest guy in school but the sweetest. I've known him ever since I came here in eighth grade. He was one of the only freshman to make the varsity. The way he laughed like a little kid would drive me insane! And when I looked into those big brown eyes I was a goner!

When the bell finally rang I jumped out of my seat and ran all the way to the sophomore hallway! My best friend Lily Swills was waiting for me.

"Wow, that was quick I thought you'd be way longer since you were coming from Spanish" Lily said

" I ran" I hissed silently

"why'd you run all the way from the Junior hallway?"

" Aiden was there"

"Damn, of all the Spanish classes you got stuck with him!"

"I know my own fault for be so damn smart!"

" Yeah that's the reason!"

After eighth period was my favorite,Volleyball practice. My mom was Coach Trenton she's coached volleyball for over 20 years. Our team almost won state last year but we just barley lost. We graduated three seniors one of them being my sister Sherri. We weren't doing real good this year.

About two hours later I was in the car, headed home, with mom.

"Good practice, Sutton" my mom said as she was on the highway.

"Thanks" I always loved my moms approval.

"You need to use you legs more with your back sets though" a compliment sandwich.

After she said something else good about my playing. We sat in silence until we got home. I went to my room came out for dinner. My parents talked to me but I just tuned them out. All I could think about was seeing Aiden for the first time in weeks.

The next day in 2nd period I had UIL prep. Which was a two people class with just Lily and me. So we went to my moms room. She was a history teacher and I knew she had Juniors this period I just didn't know which.

So I just walked right into her geography class and who should be sitting in the front row?? Aiden and Taylor! Taylor greeted me and I nodded. Aiden just got real quite and stared at his shoes again. I sat in there awkwardly for about 20 minutes talking to Taylor, Derek, and Emma.

As me and Lily were walking down the hallway she asked "Did you know he was in there"

"No" I replied and I was telling the truth.

"Well if Landry sees you looking at him like that he's gonna get pissed!"

Landry Moore was my current boyfriend I loved him I really did, but just as a friend. I was only dating him to make Aiden jealous and everybody knew it.

"Well he can get all mad if he wants to I don't care" and I really didn't.

Just as the bell rang " have fun" Lily said with a smirk while getting in the band bus. My next period was my only period with Landry.

"hey baby" Landry said with that catlike smile of his.

"hey" I said very unenthusiastic.

We sat down did our English assignment. Landry started blathering on about how good hunting was yesterday with his best friend Lance McAllen but I didn't care.

Landry and Lance weren't very athletic they were some of the only sophomores on JV. Landry had blonde hair and deep blue eyes. He was bulky and I could probably run faster than him.

The rest of the day dragged on. It was a blur I didn't really pay attention I hardly did anymore.

After practice I went home, went over some game film and then just went to sleep.

When I woke up I was excited it was game day! We were playing our rivals Lindsey and we just had to win!!!

Being that it was Friday we have football games too. It was home and of course Landry would want to go and complain about being on JV.

School went by fast for a change. I was warming up with Lily. When I got a text from Landry.

"Ugh" I groaned.

"What, is it your loser in tin foil?" Lily said sarcastically.

When I was a little girl I always dreamed of my night in shining armor and when I started dating Landry she started calling him my loser in tin foil.

"maybe" I whispered.

We lost the game in two! I was pissed we just handed them the game. Landry showed up in the second game wearing a " 11's my girl!" shirt I was 11 and that made things worse!

After the game he was waiting for me

"You played good!" he said

"We lost" I frowned

"You still played good! Are we gonna go to the football game?" He asked

Lily walked up behind me and whispered so Landry couldn't hear "The only reason she'll go is to see Aiden"

I giggled she was right.

Landry just stared at me waiting for my response.

I really didn't want to go and sit there with Landry while I was staring at Aiden.

" I don't wanna go tonight. I'm just gonna go home" I said

"Suit yourself then" he said as he walked out the door and got into Lance's truck.

That boy sure did know how to piss me off! Thank God I drove to school today so I wouldn't have to ride with my mom. I told my mom I was going to the game so she wouldn't expect me home until midnight. So I just drove out of town trying to forget everything.
