Chapter 16
"Are you ready Max," Alex asks me. I nod and squeeze his hand tighter as the doctor explains that I can't change what their about to do. I nod and they give me paper work to fill out.
"Here's a pen love," Alex says handing me a pen. I fill out the paper work and have my dad read over and sign some parts. Mike hands me a hospital smock. I walk over to the bathroom and put on the smock.
I try to tie the back but i cant reach. I ait on the toilet and sigh. I really font want to ask for help but im going to have to. I get up and open the door a little. Leo sits in the chair beside the door. I sigh nervously.
"Hey Leo, can you help me with my smock? I can't tie it," i ask them nervously. They nod and set their book down on the table next to the chair.
They walk in and help me tie the back. I turn around and smile at them gratefully. They give me a hug and then walk out of the bathroom. I fix my hair nervously and walk out of the bathroom and sit on the hospital bed.
Alex gives me a big hug and kisses me on the forehead. I hug him back and gather up all my courage. The doctor walks in and lead me to another room. A bunch of doctors stand around the operation table.
I sit down on the table and the doctor pushes me to lie on my back. One of the nurses puts a mask over my face and i start to fall asleep. The doctor puts gloves on and i hear the snap just as i fall asleep.

I lie on my back and stare up at the ceiling. A teddy bear and a card sits on the table beside my bed and i smile when i see that Alex and my friends signed it. Dad and Tiri left a note on the table beside me saying that they are going out to get some food.
I smile as i remember the day that dad met Tiri at the pastry shop. That was a good day. Dad and Tiri walk in the room holding bags of food. My brothers come in behind them and i close my eyes before they can see that im awake.
"Boo!" I shout as i sit in place making them jump. I wince slightly at the pain in my chest but then i smile remembering that it's flat now. Antonio runs over to me and carefully gives me a hug. Dad hands me a bag of food and i take it gratefully.
I set it down beside me and try to sit up. I wince and fall back down. Mike and Dan come over and help me sit up against the pillows that dad brought from home. I take my food out of my bag and set it down beside me.
I carefully eat the food. For once my brothers finish before i do. Leo walks in and sits down on the floor beside Antonio. They've been going strong for about a year now. Tiri leans against dad's shoulder and smiles up at him.
Dan leans against the wall and talks to his girlfriend on the phone. Mike texts the person he's been seeing for a while. I haven't met them but they make him really happy. I finish my food and crumple the bag before tossing it into the trash bin.
Someone knocks on the door and Mike gets up and opens it. The doctor stands there with his clipboard in hand. He walks in and stand in front of my bed. I look at him and wave, trying to remember where i recognize him from.
"Hi. I'm Dr. Irk, yes the same guy that gave you your fist testosterone shot. You should be out of here in about a week. If you need any pain killers or anything just press that button," he says pointing to a control panel beside me.
I nod and he walks out of the room. A little while later a nurse walks in and hands me a couple of pills and a water bottle. I take them gratefully and quickly swallow them. She walks out of the room and leaves me with my parents and brothers.
"Your friends texted you asking if they could come see you," Tiri tells me handing me my phone. I take it from him and tell my friends what room I'm in. I set it down beside me and watch Antonio and Leo talk in the corner of the room.
"Is it okay if we go on a date later dads?" Antonio asks. Tiri freezes. I set my phone down on the table beside me. Antonio looks confused for a second before smiling sheepishly. Dad looks over at Tiri and smiles.
"Yeah that would be fine. But get home before midnight," Tiri replies. Antonio nods and smiles at Leo. I shake my head at the lovebirds and smirk. I look back over at dad and Tiri, whom of which is leaning on dad.
"So if dad is dad, than would that make Tiri papa?" I ask. Dad looks over at Tiri and he nods. I nod and pick up my phone as Alex calls me. I swipe and answer the call.
"God we've missed you! We're coming to see you right now. I love you! " he yells into the phone. I chuckle and pull the phone away from my ear.
"I missed you too love," I tell him. He yells something and hangs up on me. I smile and shake my head. Antonio and Leo announce that they're leaving and walk out of the room. Mike and Dan go with them so they can get to their date place.
I scroll through instagram for a while. I turn slightly and get a pain in my side that makes me groan. Papa looks up and comes over to me. He puts his hand on my forehead.
"You okay Max?" He asks. I nod and carefully lean back in. the bed. Just then, Alex and my friends burst through the door. Milly and Cody put a box of chocolate on the end of my bed.
"Hey love," Alex says. I smile and wave at him. He sits down in the chair beside me. Anna and Julie walk in, their hair messed up and cheeks red. I smirk at Anna and she glares at me before glancing over at Julie lovingly.
My friends sit around me and we talk for a while, catching up on what's been happening. They hand me my missed work and talk about a fight that happened. My brothers and Leo walk back into the room.
I close my eyes and smile as Leo and Antonio bicker about their date. Alex intertwines our fingers and I squeeze his hand. Anna and Julie talk about a date they had and Cody and Milly help each other with homework. Dad and papa chuckle in the corner of the room.
Im glad I met them. I don't know what I'd do without any of them. They've helped me through all of it. Alex rubs his fingers over my knuckles and I open my eyes.
I smile as I see them all talk and bicker. Maybe being blackmailed was worth it.
