~Chapter Twelve~

Today was Cheyenne's birthday and Kareena and I had a surprise for her tonight. But since we had school today, I went to the grocery store last night and got her some balloons and a red velvet cake.Then on top of that, Travis got her a gift card with $600 on it. Lastly I bought her a necklace with her name engraved in a gold heart with five karat diamonds embroidered on the outside. Had to go all out for my best friend! Shit, I bought Sammy the new PlayStation when it came out.

While I was getting ready for school, I texted Kareena and told her to try and stall Cheyenne off until I was done putting the pictures on her locker and hanging the balloons on it. After she agreed, I hurried out the house and headed for school. When I got there, Sammy and Nick where already at her locker.

"Ight, let's do this." Nick said rubbing his hands together. I handed them the pictures and the tape and we started decorating.

"Hey Trey." I felt a hand tap me on my shoulder. I glanced to see Diamond standing next to me.

"Wassup Diamond." I said still focusing on Cheyenne's locker.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing. You cancelled at the last minute and I was siting at my house horny as hell." she started explaining.

"Yeah my bad... But maybe we can talk later, I'm kinda busy ma." I added the last balloon to her locker and put the gift bags and the cake in front of it. I turned to see Diamond still standing there. "You're still here?" I asked confused.

"Uh yeah, so how about we make up our cancelled plans?" She asked rubbing my shoulder.

I looked her up and down and shook my head. "Nah, I'm good for now, I'll let you know when I'm looking for some though." I laughed a little.

"Whatever Trey..." she walked away but not without flipping her weave in my face.

My phone went off and I read the text saying that Kareena and Cheyenne were walking in.

"Aye, y'all here they come!" We walked off and stood far enough were we could see her and hear her.

I saw her walk in and when she looked up from her phone, her eyes started watering.

"Happy Birthday!" We all said walking over to her.

"Oh my God!" was all she could say. "You guys did all this!?" She put her hands over her mouth and then started to fan her eyes.

"Well, we were included but it was mostly Trey." Kareena smiled.

She turned her head to look at me and then she nearly jumped on me trying to get a hug. I wrapped my arms around her waist and laughed.

"You're welcome Chy." I smiled.

"Thank you so much!" If think if she could kiss me right now she would.

"This is only the beginning of the day Chy, just wait until tonight." Kareena said.

When Chy got to her locker, she instantly noticed the gift bag and looked at me like I was stupid.

"Trey you didn't have to get me anything." she smiled.

"I wanted to, just open it."

When she opened the box and saw the necklace, she almost lost her breath.

"Trélin!" She sounded shocked.

"What he get you?" Kareena asked. Cheyenne turned the box to her and Kareena's jaw dropped.

"Damn Trey! Sammy how come you don't buy me jewelry?" She asked him.

Sam looked at me and gave me a glare. "Thanks a lot nigga." he said causing me to laugh.
