Cheyenne Savoy. I'm the average 17 year old trying to make it through high school along with my best friend Kareena. We just started our senior year and I'm finally glad I'm almost done. But my high school life is a whole different story.
At home, I'm the second youngest of four. My older sister, Cassidee, is 20 and she is a biology major at UCLA. Then my brother, Calvin, is 19 and he has decided not to go to college because he feels like it is a waste of time but was lucky enough to get a great job working with our father who owns a law firm. He moved out and lives with his girlfriend, who is actually going to college to get her masters. And then last but sure as hell not least, there's me and my twin brother, Corey. He's like my second best friend. But he likes to rub the fact that he's older by 5 minutes in my face all the time. My mom and dad are separated (not divorced) because they didn't want to go through all the financial problems and stress that divorce brings. So Corey and I are forced to go stay with our father every other weekend because the court says so until we turn 18. That man couldn't stop working if I was burning the house down. My mom however, used to be a model in Puerto Rico until she had my sister. Now she has a small fashion line here in Texas and owns a boutique downtown. But enough about my boring family.
I'm that girl who likes to stay low key and refuses to have unnecessary attention drawn to me when I don't need it or want it. I'm not the shortest girl out there when I stand at a screeching 5'10, so of course I'm not good in the dating department because I'm the damn Leaning Tower of Piza. However Kareena on the other hand is the exact opposite. Which still to this day I cannot grasp the idea of how we even became best friends. She's always the life of the party and demands attention when she walks in but knows when to chill out.
Everyday when I go to school, I am "blessed" as some girls would say with the presence on what we have come to know as the 'Hanson Boys'. I'm not gonna front, they were the finest things in there. But you can't name one groupie that they haven't smashed. Especially Trey Hartley. How can someone so gorgeous be so...foul? I refuse to subdue myself to there ignorance and idiocy, with their spoiled mentalities and "I'm that nigga" personas. I just hope I can survive this last year with these insensitive man hoes.
