Trélin Hartley but everybody calls me Trey. I just turned 18 and I'm ready to finish high school leaving all my great memories behind. Me and my crew, also known as by the females of Hanson High, the 'Hanson Boys', are always up for a good time and we know how to shut it down on the court. I don't kick it with everybody on the basketball team so my crew only consists of the guys who seem the realest to me and not the ones who were trying to be my friend because of my father.
My father was Darius Hartley, 3 time champion wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and 5 time champion point guard for the LA Lakers. Once he stopped playing basketball he retired after getting his third ring with the cowboys. of course growing up, I was expected to be a fan of those teams. But that's definitely not that case. As the youngest of 3 boys, I was the most outspoken one and never let my dad make the decisions for me. However I didn't hesitate to follow in his footsteps with playing basketball but I was also the quarterback for the Hanson Hawks as well. Regardless of the money my father had, I was going to go to college on a scholarship.
My oldest brother Trenton, 22, went on to play football in college but also majors in engineering as his back up plan. Travis the second oldest, 19 just graduated high school and was a freshman in college on a full ride scholarship for football as well but he didn't have a 'just in case' plan. Then there was me. Initially, I had a younger sister but she and my mother were both killed in a head on collision by a drunken driver. We don't really talk about it and that happened when I was 5 so I only really remember what I was told.
My father ran a tight schedule but knew how to loosen up if need be. He wasn't one of those fathers who yelled at you for every little mistake you did but you better believe he was breathing on your neck making sure you didn't do it again. As a Hartley, you are expected to be the best if not better. So if you fail, you need to learn from that mistake and never do it again. My father's motto is "The first time is a lesson, the second time is a mistake."
I have no shame in what I do. I know I can get any girl and every girl at Hanson and even at the other local high schools. But you couldn't just be anybody, you had to be beyond bad. I'm not disrespectful of course but if you throwing it at me, you know I'm taking it. But I believe that that messing around with multiple females is only for the single life and if you're exclusive, sleeping around isn't an option. I've got to much on my plate right now to be tryna wife some girl. All I do is eat, sleep, and breathe is basketball and football. And right now that's all I have time for.
