Hey people! I'm back! This time the wait wasn't so long!! Anyway, hope you enjoy chapter 9!

Sadly, I do not own anything except for the plot, all rights go to Rick Riordan.

Leo's POV:
I set my hands on fire and moved them under the wood of our campfire. I watched as the flames licked the wood for a while before the wood finally caught.

I pulled my hands away and extinguished the flames.

"That sure is useful, isn't it?" Calypso said.

I grinned at her.

"With me around, you'll never be cold again, baby."

She glared at the pet name but it turned into a smile and a shake of her head.

Tonight we were having a camp out. We had a tent, a campfire, food, and a toilet. Well, okay, it was actually a hole that we dug in the ground, but it had the same purpose.

I pulled two hotdogs out of my tool belt and handed them to Calypso before reaching back into my tool bet to pull out two cooking sticks.

I held the sticks steady while Calypso stabbed the hotdogs and slid them down the sticks.

I handed her one and we both put them in the fire.

"Have you done this before, Leo?" She asked me.

I nodded my head.

"I've made hotdogs once or twice, but once, when I was on my first quest with Piper and Jason, I made them tacos."

"What's a taco?"

I laughed.

"It's something delicious."

"And you'll make me tacos one day?" Calypso asked me.

I smiled at her.

"Of course, Caly."

I flipped over my hotdog and it was done.

I pulled a bun out of my backpack ant put the hotdog in it. Then I put Calypso's hotdog in a bun, too.

I handed her hotdog to her and we touched our hotdogs together as if we were making a toast.

Then we ate.

We didn't say anything while we ate the hotdogs, but it was a comfortable silence.

Finally, I finished my hotdog and Calypso had too. I put the sticks away, extinguished the fire, and sat down outside the tent waiting for Calypso to change into her pajamas.

When she came out, I went in and changed.

"I'm good Calyspo," I called out the tent.

She came in and unrolled her sleeping bag. I did the same.

We went inside our sleeping bags. And talked about small unimportant things while we were snuggled in our warm sleeping bags, away from the rest of the world. The only thing that mattered was each other.

Eventually, Calypso's breathing evened out, and I knew she had fallen asleep. The sound of her steady breathing next to me gently lolled me to sleep as well. For the first time in a long time, I had a dreamless sleep.

I woke up the next morning to Calypso shaking me.

"Leo, come on! Wake up repair boy!"

I groaned, realizing she had heard of the nickname.

She unzipped my sleeping bag, leaving me exposed to the cool air. I zipped it back up again. Calypso leaned down and kissed me on the lips.
