Hey people! Here's chapter 10! I hope you enjoy!

Sadly, I only pen the plot of this story. All rights go to Rick Riordan.

Annabeth's POV:
I set the small stick down on the bathroom counter and sat down on the floor, leaning against the door. I let my head fall back and sighed a long, deep sigh.

Now came the hardest part.

I had to wait three minutes before the results of the test would show.

After talking to Piper, I had decided that Percy would not be upset. He loves me, I love him, and we're married. If we had a child, it would be a good thing, even if it's a little earlier than we planned.

Percy will be home in about an hour. He has been working at a aquarium part time while he looks for a job as a marine biologist. He got his degree from a college in New Rome while New Athens was still being built.

As I am the Architect of Olympus, I can work on my designs from home and occasionally go check up on the building process.

This, I thought, will make it easier to raise a child. I'll be able to be home often.

I remain in my seat on the floor with my head against the door, as I become lost in thought.

I'm not even sure if I am pregnant yet and I am already deciding things about my life that will need to change or not change soon.

Then the timer went off.

My heart skipped a beat as I slowly stood up. I walked over to the sink and looked at the small white stick that would decide my future.

There was a pink plus sign.

I smiled.

It was really there.  There was really a life inside of me.

I'm pregnant!

I pick up the stick and toss it in the garbage, careful to cover it with toilet paper in case Percy sees it when he gets home.

I walked out of the bathroom and started to make a large dinner of blue hamburgers and blue Mac and cheese. I thought about it and decided that I would also include some blue chocolate chip cookies made from the recipe I got from Sally Blofis, Percy's mother. Mine aren't as good as her's, of course, but they'll do.

I put my hand on my stomach and rubbed it in circles. I smiled again. Today is the start of what was going to be a very long nine months, but it will all be worth it in the end, when I get to meet my little son or daughter.

I put the food out on the dining room table and set a pacifier into a box and wrapped it.

When I heard the door open, I picked up the small wrapped box and held it behind my back.

"Annabeth! I'm home!" Percy called.

"I'm in the dining room," I answered.

Percy walked in and stopped in his tracks at the sight of the large and delicious looking dinner in front of him.

"What's the occasion? What did I forget?" Percy asked, extremely confused.

"There's no occasion yet, but there will be after this," I said, handing him the small gift that was hidden behind my back.

Percy tore the wrapping paper off the box excitedly, like a small child on Christmas, and then opened the box.

He looked extremely confused for a second and held up the pacifier.

"Annabeth, if this is for my sister, she's too old for pacifiers now," he informed me, still completely oblivious.

"No, Percy," I said, "it's not for your sister. It's for us."

His expression was confused for another minute while my words sunk in, and then his face dawned with understanding.

He smiled so wide, I thought his face might crack open, and he grabbed my arm and pulled me into a long and passionate kiss.

"You're sure, right? You already took a test?" Percy questioned when we pulled apart.

"Yes, I took one while you were working," I responded.

Percy smiled again and pulled me me against him. We stayed in that position for a while. Just hugging and holding each other.

After our ADHD started to kick in, we pulled away and Percy bent down so his face was level with my stomach.

"Hi little buddy," he said. "I know you don't know me, and you probably can't hear me, and even if you could you wouldn't understand me,  but I'm your daddy. And I'll do anything to keep you safe."

I smiled down at the top of his head.

We were going to tackle this together, and we were going to make it all the way through these nine months and all the years later.

As long as we're together.

Right?

I hope you enjoyed chapter 10! I'll update again soon!
