I'll be fine...

Lance looked up at the blue lion. He hasn't operated it in a long while so he's happy to be able to again. He knows their connection is strong because he comes and talks to it almost every day.

He put on his helmet and sat in the pilot seat. The doors open and he flew out with the others, taking deep breaths and telling himself over and over he'll be fine.

"Took you long enough!" Pidge said loudly into the microphone. Lance laughed it off and they were on their way to a Galran ship thing. Shiro nor Allura were able to join them, but Keith piloted the red lion, saying that he didn't need to fly the black one because of Shiro's return.

They expected some shots to be fired, but they didn't expect to go into a full battle like they did now.

Keith decided to go head first into battle without a second thought and they dove down to a planet that had messed with their communication systems and sensors.

"Keith we have to turn back!" Lance pleaded. "You're going too fast!"

"No! You're going to slow! We can't let them get away!" Keith shouted back. "Now just shut you big mouth and do what I say!"

"Lance has a point, without Voltron together we won't be as strong. We need to stick close or else we won't be able to communicate," Pidge said as they tried to get the sensors working again. Lance sighed.

"Shut up! I'm not losing this bastard!"

"Then....I'll go out the planet's atmosphere to fend off the rest of the ships while you guys stay together with Keith. That way there's less to keep up with. And killing two birds with one stone! Don't worry guys, I got this!" Lance didn't even wait for an argument as he flew upwards out of the atmosphere and started shooting and destroying ships left and right. If Keith wasn't going to listen to him, then he has to help the way he knows how.

One of the Galran ships started charging up a cannon.

"Lance my boy, we must stop that cannon fire! If the light reacts with the nitroglycerin air on that planets atmosphere it's going to wipe out everything within this section of the universe!" Coran suddenly appearing in his ear piece.

Panicked, Lance tried to break the barrier with little to no use. The cannon was about to fire and he decided to ask his lion for help.

'What should I do? How can I save my friends?!'

Visions flashed through his mind, one of a special, but dangerous move that could potentially take Lance's life. It...It's the same feeling he had when he woke up yesterday.

'I cannot let you do this my paladin.' The lion spoke, it's feelings filling his ears. With a confident, but uneasy smirk, he answered back. "I'll be fine! Just do it or else me and everyone else will die!"

Lance turned his bayard in the knob and suddenly everything felt cold.

"Lance!" Hunk screamed as he did the special move. The lion made itself icy and charged right in front of the cannon that fired at the exact same time.

The cannon blew up and the lion was unscathed.

"Lance that was amazing!" Pidge praised only to receive silence in response.

"Lance? Buddy? Are you there?" Hunk asked concerned. Keith's lion appeared out from behind the yellow lion.

"What's happening? Why won't that idiot respond?" he asked apathetically concerned.

"Maybe his communication is down?"

"Then why isn't his lion moving?!" Hunk shrieked as he went to grab the blue lion with his own.

"I did something...finally...sorry blue....But I don't regret what I did. You still have Allura..." Lance spoke, hearing the blue lions voice in his mind.

"Lance?! Lance?! Are you okay?! What's happening?!" Pidge screeched. Hunk guided the blue lion back to the ship fearfully with the others.

"Sorry guys....I didn't heed blue's warning haha~ ow!" His fingers were froze solid and he felt his eyes grow really heavy. "Hey, at least you don't have to worry about me now. All ya gotta do is send my corpse to space and you'll be on your way."

"CORPSE?! No no no no no, this is no time to be joking around!" Hunk yelled as he dropped the blue lion into the landing hatch. Everyone quickly exited their lions and climbed into the blue lion.

Lance didn't answer his question, only smiled as a tear ran down his frozen face. "So...now you listen? How sweet..." he muttered. Allura and Shiro rushed in along with Coran and picked him out of his seat.

"Get him to the healing pod!" Coran shrieked. They all rushed with them, Lance going in and out of consciousness and his skin developing frost bite as ticks go by.

"Blue...show...th-them..." Lance said as his eyes drifted closed, earning confused looks from his teammates. The pod instantly started thawing him out, but everyone was still frightened out of their minds.

But Keith remained emotionless and apathetic with only a crease in his brow.

"Blue show them? Does he mean us? Why didn't he acknowledge us? Why tell blue?" Keith muttered under his breath. Pidge and Hunk looked at each other as if they were talking telepathically. Their eyes widened immediately before the swiveled their heads towards the Cuban boy.

"He talks to objects more than he talks to us. That's why. But I don't know why he does that," Pidge explained.

"You want to show us something?" Allura asked the mice in which they ran in circles and ran away. Everyone followed them all the way down to the blue lions berth.

The lion sat with his head on his metal paws as their eyes glowed a bright blue, a contrast to its usual yellow.

Keith stepped forward with a concerned frown painting his features. Lance is annoying to him, is an idiot flirt and he scares Keith with his piloting, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person. Quite the opposite actually. He's able to connect with people much more quickly and more efficiently than him.

"Blue, tell us. What did Lance want to show us?"
