"Oh... My knee is hurting much more than usual... Ow..." Commander Tran mumbles as he carefully gets out of bed and grabs ahold of his cane to stabilize himself. Once he's up and going he slowly leaves his quarters, his cane making a recognizable tacking noise as it hits the ground, and he slowly walks around the base. Far from what he knew when he was still an ordinary seaman, the base has changed since he first came- the entertainment room has been expanded and there are many other forms of entertainment that have been added thanks to the addition of VR headsets. The workout room has also benefited from the VR headsets as well, adding a new level of self training in the form of various attack and defense regimens. "When time flies, so does technology. This is most interesting."

"Ah, good morning commander." Yorktown says. "How are you today? Feeling good?"

"Kind of. My knee's hurting more than normal." Commander Tran replies.

"I hope that goes away soon." Yorktown says as she and the commander head to the common room and relax. "It's still pretty early in the morning and barely anyone is awake yet."

"Well, did you just so happen to wake up at the same time I did?" Commander Tran asks.

"Maybe..." Yorktown replies sheepishly as they both take sit on one of the couches and admire the sunrise. "At least it's not a red one."

"At the very least." Commander Tran says. "Even then it looks absolutely gorgeous."

"Yes it does." Yorktown replies as the commander slings an arm around her, surprising the carrier for a few seconds before she blushes. "Ah- commander!" Commander Tran only gives Yorktown a sly look, knowing exactly what he's doing.

"You're cute when you blush." Commander Tran chuckles as Yorktown giggles and rests her head on his shoulder, still admiring the beautiful sunrise. That's when her sisters emerge, and they walk in on the scene before them.

"Oooh~ You getting all cuddly there with the commander there?" Hornet asks as she and Enterprise take a spot on the couch opposite to the two.

"Ah- Hornet!" Yorktown suddenly yelps, accidentally bonking heads with Commander Tran.

"Oof!" The commander winces as he rubs his head.

"Sorry..." Yorktown says. "Are you okay?"

"It's alright, nothing that won't kill me." Commander Tran chuckles as he and Yorktown recollect themselves and they go back to how they were before the two carriers walked in.

"This is really cute." Enterprise chuckles to Hornet as the sun completely rises and everyone starts to wake up. "It's almost like a tradition between them."

"I always see them out in the docks to watch the sunset as well." Hornet chuckles back. "It's almost like the two are a married couple or something."

"Married?" Commander Tran and Yorktown ask simultaneously, eliciting a laugh from the two sisters.

"You've definitely acted as secretary for the longest so it wouldn't be a surprise that you two would grow fond of each other over the years." Enterprise says.

"Well... I'm not sure if I would put it that way..." Yorktown says, trying to hide another blush. "But then again, you've never used your oath ring..."

"I mean it might already be too late for me to use that." Commander Tran replies. "I'm almost about to retire and everything..." The commander slowly trails off.

"And?" Hornet asks.

"I don't know really." Commander Tran replies. "It's just, I can't believe I'm going to retire soon, even if it's five years away..." He trails off again and Yorktown senses something amiss, but before she can say anything the commander looks to the three carriers before grabbing his cane and heading off to get some breakfast, and they follow suit.
