Wednesday morning. The day had finally came. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, this has been my secret for 10 years and now, not only the school but Simon would know too.
When I got back from the adoption centre on Monday I explained to Emma and David that I was going to finally tell people my story. They were really supportive and helped me plan the speech.
Just because I was finally going to reveal who I really was doesn't mean I'm abandoning them. They provided me with food, shelter and the best family ever for the last 9 years. They'll always be my family. No matter what.
"You'll be amazing today. If anything happens and you want to come home message us and we'll pick you up." Emma promises from the other side of the table.
"Thank you both." I hug them both after putting my bowl in the sink.
"We love you!"
"I love you more!" I sit on the bottom of the steps as I put my trainers on, calling Amelia down so we can leave for school.
