Joymya's POV

Mommy is crying and I hate to see her like this.  I hope she feels better. Daddy keeps pacing the room. "Mommy. Don't cry, it's going to be okay. I love you and Daddy, no matter what!"

She looks at me, smiling and wiping her tears away. Daddy hugs us both before kissing us. I wrap my arms around them.

"Breakfast!" I squeak. This causes then to laugh and Mommy goes to start cooking. " I love you Daddy." Daddy picks me up. I wipe his tears and kiss his nose.

He carries me to the kitchen where Mommy is and places me in my seat. "Bacon!!!!" Daddy and I yell. Mommy laughs at us.

"Are y'all gonna try to steal my bacon?" She asked. Daddy and I don't say anything.

"Mommy! Are you okay?"

"Yes Princess, I'm okay." She does the plates and we all eat.

Diamond's POV

After eating, Jamal bathes Joy and I shower.
We all leave the house, looking cute with our outfits on. Joymya is hers legally, but she's ours internally.

"Joymya?"

"Yes Mommy?"

"No matter what happens today, you'll always be our Princess."

" Aww Mommy." I smile at Jamal. He smiles back.

We pull up to the court house and all of us pray silently. "Amen." We say in unison. Court starts immediately.
Here goes something...

Jamal's POV

I have a friend of mine as our lawyer. Danette keeps looking at me. No disrespect, but jump frog.

"All rise." The judge says. Everyone stands up, including my Princess. "Let me get this straight, you want your daughter back after you put her up for adoption, when you were in the hospital for cancer?"

"Yes, sir."

"Do you have the documentation to prove this?" She hands the papers over.

"Jamal and Diamond have taken care of your child right."

"Yes."

"Do you still have the paper with you Jamal and Diamond?" Jamal hands him the paper and he reads it out loud for everyone to hear.

"I'm guessing you thought you wouldn't make it through the treatments?"

"No, I didn't. For some reason, the cancer kept coming back."

"It's clear that you are trying to get your daughter back and the cancer isn't fully gone. What's going to happen when you die and leave the poor child alone?"

"I haven't thought that far."

"What the- in the case of Joymya Williams, Diamond and Jamal may remain parents and legal guardians of this child."

Joymya runs to me. "Daddy!"

Diamond's POV

I'm so happy that we get to keep the ball of sunshine that came into our lives. Walking up to Danette I hug her and tell her to take care of herself.

"Keep my daughter happy." She says in my ear. "Keep teaching and showing her new things."

"I'll keep you updated." We let go of each other and go our separate ways. "Mommy!" Joymya yells. I know she's talking to Danette.

Danette turns around and Joymya runs to her, hugging her. I'm low-key crying. Jamal pulls me in his chest and rubs my back.

"Pull it together, woman, before I fuck those tears away."
