Diamond's POV

"I wake up, sore as hell. Today is Saturday, getting out of bed, I decide to check on Danette.

"Hello?" She answered the phone.

"How's it going?" I ask.

"I'm okay. Can I see Joy today?"

"Yes. I'll bring her by soon." I see Joymya sprawled out on the bed. Hey feet are on Jamal's face.

I get dressed and wake Joymya up. After getting her ready, we had out. I stop at McDonald's on the way.

"Are you ready Joy?"

"Yes Mommy." She climbs over the am rest and we head inside the hospital.

"We're looking for Danette." I say. One of the nurses lead us to her room. "Hey y'all." She says cheerfully.

"Hi." Joymya says. I smile and say "hey". I watch as Joy climbs in bed with her and lay her head on Danette's stomach.

"Thank you, Diamond." She says to me.

A tear rolls down my face. Joymya doesn't notice it, but Danette's slowly drifting.

"I love you, Mommy. Thanks." Joy says to Danette.

Danette hugs her little body then reaches for me. I hug them both. "Take care of her." Is all I hear before the machine starts the beep.

Joymya kisses Danette's forehead and says "Rest well, Mom." I head her sniffle and call the nurses in.

Joymya hugs her body one last time before getting out the bed and coming to me. I pick her up and hold her ass we both cry silently.

"Thanks, Mommy. Let's go to Daddy now."

I wipe her tears as she wipes mine.

Jamal's POV

I get up and look around for Joymya. A note last on the bed from her and Diamond: we're going to see Danette today. Good morning Daddy.

The door opens so I look at them. They've been crying. "What wrong, Princess?"

"Joymya just burst into tears, so I look at Diamond.

"She's gone." I hurry and hug them both tightly. Joymya sniffles and Diamond shed tears.

"It's been a long day without you my friend." Diamond sings.

"We've come a long way from where we begin." I hear Joymya sing.

"I'll tell you all about it when I see you again, when I see you again." I sing. We're all rocking back and forth crying now.

"And now you gone be with me for the last ride." Diamond sings.

"Let the light guide your way, hold every memory as you go, and every road you take, will always lead you home, home." Joymya sings.

"It's been a long day with you my friend, can I tell you all about it when I see you again." We all sing and open our eyes.

I'm crying, Joymya's crying, and Diamond's crying. I just hug them both and hold them. They return the gesture.

"Joymya let's go first. "I got to tinkle, Mommy." Diamond gets up and helps Joy.

I sit on the bed, thinking. "Daddy, are you hungry." Diamond asked.

Diamond's POV

"Yeah." He says looking at me. I wipe his cheeks and kiss him. "Mommy I'm done!"

I help Joymya, wash her hands, and go back to my husband. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"Bacon, eggs, and pancakes."

"Okay." He pulls me to his chest and hugs me.

"Mommy and Daddy sitting in a tree."

"Take your twin on somewhere, before I tickle her."

Joymya hides behind me.

"Daddy no!" She runs to the kitchen and Jamal runs after her. I shake my head, shedding one last tear and saying "I promise to always be here for her, Danette."

Inhaling, I go to the kitchen and fix hubby breakfast. Joymya and Jamal hug me as I stand at the stove. Jamal's lips touch mine and I smile.

"She's smiling Joy!"

"Yay!"

Joy and I watch TV as Jamal eats. He joins us and we all just stay in and watch movies, laughing and holding each other.

"I love you guys." Jamal says hugging us.

"Chocolate Bear, I never did get to us that syrup." I say since he started rubbing between my thighs. "Be careful how you touch me."

He just laughs and turns to the movie again. I do the same.
