Jessica's POV

I have to check on my boss/best friend. As I'm getting ready to knock on her door, Jamal comes out.

"Hi Jessica. What are you doing here?"

"I'm checking on your wife."

"Okay." Jamal says. "Be careful. She's a swinger."

"No I'm not." We hear Diamond say. "Jamal take your ass on. Too early for you to be fucking with me or my name."

Jamal kisses her head and leaves.

"Hi Jessica!! It's everything okay?" She asked.

Diamond's POV

"I wanted to come check on you. I haven't heard from you."

"Girl, I'm okay." I smile. "Between Joymya's school work and Jamal's ass going out to work. I'm doing just fine." I say.

"Looks like you're doing more than fine to me. He's got you glowing."

"Aunt Jessica?" I pick Joymya up and sit her at the table for breakfast.

"Hey kiddo."

"Hi. Mommy, where's Daddy?" Joymya says.

"He's gone out." I say.

"Okay. Bacon!" She squeals happily as I give her beacon. Jessica and I laugh.

"This is getting serious. We have to work from home and then the stores are supposed to shut down."

"Joy, when you finish eating, we're going to tackle some work."

"Okay, Mommy. Aunt Jessica you can help too."

Jessica's POV

"Okay." I watch as Diamond and Joymya exit the kitchen and come back with piles of work each.

"Let's get started Joy, where do you want to start?" Diamond asks.

"Mommy, Aunt Jessica's here, so you can work." Joymya smiles at me.

"Okay. Have fun!" Diamond goes in a separate room and I sit and help Joymya.

She's really smart. Jamal, Diamond, and their parents are doing a great job.

I just wish I could have a family of my own.

"Aunt Jessica, I need help with this one."

"Okay, let's get it." I send some hours helping Joymya and Diamond each.

"Thanks Aunt Jessica." Joymya says, submitting her assignments for the day.

Diamond's POV

I should've been doing these papers instead of messing around with Jamal. It's a lot and now that I'm not able to go to the office, I'm going to be deep in paperwork, emails, and everything else.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm not. I got a lot of work to catch up on, do, sort, and file. I have to call to make new arrangements and shit."

"Hey, don't be cursing at me. I'll take my white ass home."

I look at her and say "sorry."

"What's really going on bestie bug?"

"I'm tired. Jamal's ass has been wearing me out."

"No wonder your glowing."

"I'm not glowing."

"You say that, but when someone else sees you, they'll say the same thing. Plus Jamal loves you."

"His ass is wearing me out." I say.
