The first meeting with John after more than six years was anything but a happy reunion of two old friends. For the sole reason that there was no reason to be happy.

Less than a week ago, Viggo and his son Iosef had been killed by John, and it was all Iosef's fault. This idiot had to steal John's car, of all cars in the country, and as if that wasn't enough, he had to break into his house, beat him up and kill his dog. You don't kill dogs, especially puppies. When the rumors started that the boogeyman was working again, Abram told me to stay out of it. This thing between John and his nephew was none of our business, and bad blood was to be avoided, no matter what his brother might do to settle it with his former employee. By the end of the song, as we all know, they were both dead.

All the money and the stolen cars, sold for parts, were to be loaded up and moved out of Abram's garage as soon as possible. The only reason there was such a rush was that John's beloved Mustang was among the cars in the garage. In the morning Alice got a call from Aurelio who wanted to know where the Mustang was and of course this information would go directly to the owner.

The night was relatively young and Alice made one last tour before going to Abram's office, but there she stopped and raised her hands to her head with a trapped expression on her face.

"Eto zdes'?" asked the voice behind Alice that she knew she would hear today."As I told you, I don't speak Russian," Alice didn't need to understand John's words either, because it should be clear why the black man was here, "Your car is here, as I assured Aurelio. Get it over with, John. I don't want to see my death."

"You worked for Viggo and now for his brother, shouldn't you at least understand Russian?" asked John, but you could hear in his voice that he had long since given up advising her, and Alice turned around very slowly now, "Why did you stay with the Tarasovs?"

"They pay the best," it was added that the Tarasovs had a certain status and reputation and working for them had certain advantages, but John knew that as well as Alice, "With Avi it wasn't much different. The Russian couldn't hurt, but he and I got by without him. Unlike Viggo, Abram is much more pleasant, especially since I was spared by Iosef."

With a motion of her head, Alice pointed to the back of the hall where all the taxis were parked and lowered her hands.

Good to see you John.
