Long after sunrise, John arrived at the Continental with his dog, but he did not want a room, he wanted to talk to Winston, the manager. After such a night, the desire for sleep and a shower would have been top priority for anyone else, but not for the bogeyman.

"Well, ....," Alice greeted the gray pit bull by crouching down in front of the dog, starting to cuddle him and pressing a kiss on his head between his ears, ".... in the time when your master takes care of everything, you will stay with me, yes? By the way, how are you John... all right?"

"I'll be fine," John replied with a look at Alice, whom he hadn't even known was in the hotel, and now Charon took the task as if it was a matter of course, "Spasibo".

"Dlya tebya John. Vsegda rady," Ce replied casually as she stood up and the pitbull began to lick her hand, bringing a slight smile to John's lips as he made his way to the elevator, "I don't have a good feeling about this."

"Even the bogeyman has to obey the rules," a nice attempt by the receptionist to not make the tense situation sound too bad, "and Mr. Wick knows about them and their consequences."

Still. She had a bad streak when Alice thought Santino could ask John for anything. It wasn't a favor, and you don't give John Wick a ridiculous little job. If someone was out to get John Wick at any cost to pay off his coin debt, it was something big.

If there was one person John would listen to, it was Winston. Everyone, everyone without exception, listened to the hotel manager, even a Santino D'Antonio. Was there anyone who could talk some sense into John Wick? No, but it was the manager who made sure that John didn't take revenge right away, but because of the rules and for his own sake, advised him to wait until after D'Antonio's job was done. Not before.
