Chapter 8: What Happened

American's POV

I woke up still upset about yesterday. I sat up from the floor which I had said I would sleep I looked around seeing I was the only one in the room. There was a note on the bed, I pick up the note and read. (Hey Ame, everyone all has something to do, but don't worry I asked someone to stay and Russia had agreed to stay and keep you safe, well we will see you soon! Canada) I put the note back down and get dress. I got dress with a black hoodie with dark blue jeans, and my shades to top it all off, like always. I walk out the room to see Russia eating, he sees me then motions over to the chair in front of him. I go over to the chair to see a plate with food on it, I sit down and start to eat, a little fast too, the last I ate was before Japan's "sleepover". Russia had a kinda worried look. "Woah woah! Calm down! You might choke at that rate." Russia said. I stopped for a second then said, "S-s-sorry I'm just v-very hungry since I didn't eat yesterday." I had eaten so fast that I was out of breath. Russia smiled slightly. God he looks great when he smiles. Shit I didn't just think that. I quickly go back to eating but more slowly. "That's much better." Russia said, I smiled at him and he smiled back. Russia stands up from the table takes his plate to the sink and cleans it off, I keep eating. I soon finished and cleaned off my plate, Russia had went to the couch and turned on some hockey. I sighed a bit seeing the hockey on, Russia turned around. "Are you okay Ame?" Russia asked. "Yeah it's just..." "It's just what?" "It's stupid" I said turning away from him. "Come on Ame." I walk over to the couch and check outside. "No, you can't make me say." I shut the curtains all the way, put I felt myself being lifted off the ground. "Gah! Russia!" I yelled. "I'm going to make you tell me!" Russia saids, I turn around in his arms and see him smile, I could feel my face warm up, I bet I was blushing, good thing I already have red on my face so it will be hard to tell. "Put me down!" "Will tell me if I let you down!" He chuckles. "Yes!" I yell making it sound like I wanted to be let down, but I didn't really want him to let go of me. Russia sets me on the couch. "So are you telling me or what?" Russia ask still with a smile on his face, he crosses his arms. "I just remembered when Canada and I would watch hockey and scream at the players for doing stupid stuff. I guess I miss that." I said. He sits down beside me and holds up the remote. "Do you wanna watch ice hockey with me and yell at the players for doing stupid stuff?" He saids. I smile at him and he turns on the game.

While we watched, Russia made snakes. We cheered, booed, yelled, and even laughed at the players. Australia and New Zealand came home first, Australia said it would be awhile before Canada came. While we were all sitting down and talking I had this sudden urge to ask Australia what happened to him yesterday. Australia noticed that I wanted to say something but at the same didn't. "Ame, what do you want to say, mate?" Australia ask. "I don't wanna ask but at the same time I wanna ask this..." I said trailing off at the end. "You can ask me anything,mate!" He said happily. Australia and I had a slient staring contest to determine who will win, but on this we could blink. I finally gave up and Australia knew this and leaned back in his chair with a smile on his face."I wished you hadn't ask to ask you this but... What happened to you yesterday?" I ask looking away from Australia then I looked back at him, his smile had faded and for once he had a serious expression. Australia looked as if he had read one of Japan's fanfics, had some regret and a serious expression. "I-Is t-t-that what you w-wanted to a-a-ask, m-mate?" Australia said a little shaky. I closed my eyes and nodded slowly, I opened my eyes. Russia and New Zealand both looked frozen, Australia looked serious and a little terrified. "I'll tell you guys.." Australia said trailing off at the end.

"When you guys ran, Japan yelled "Let me go! Senpai is in trouble!" I refused to let her go, but soon she tried to make let go by kicking, squirming, and yelling. I waited a bit longer until throwing her to the ground and taking off, I found a bush and quickly texted Canada where you were going because I didn't want to lead her that way, cause I could hear her yelling at me where I was and stuff like that. When Canada told me I texted him back and put my phone in my pocket, then Japan had found me, I took off again heading to the park. Japan stayed right behind me, when I got to the park I tried weaving I thought the trees to get rid of her, didn't work. I tried making it look like I jumped into the lake but she caught up to me tackling. S-she pulled a blade on me and said "You tell me where my Senpai is right now or I'll cut you open..." She looked me dead in the eyes when she said that. All I think about was keeping you safe, mate. I told I didn't know and to let me go, she just laughed, saying that she knew I knew where you. I found a peddle and threw at her eye, which she screamed dropping the knife and putting her hands at her eye. I took off but then tripped into the lake feeling a horrible pain in my leg, I turned around seeing that Japan had a smile, a sinister smile on her face. I fell into the water struggling to swim, I looked at my leg seeing she had threw the knife at my leg. I started to drown losing air to breath, I was slowing giving up, until something hit me. If I die then Japan wouldn't stop until she gets to you, mate. So I started to swim, kicking harder, I didn't care about the pain in my leg. When I got to the top, I gasped for air then swam to land, I dragged myself to the land still gasping for air. I got the knife out of my leg then threw it into the water, I stood up dragging my wounded leg. I had remembered that the park had a first aid kit somewhere. When I found it I bandaged my leg. I heard walking I put the first aid kit away and ducked into a bush, I made my breathing shallow so I wouldn't be heard. I heard someone talking to someone, I listened a bit to what they were talking about. "Hey wasn't it weird we found blood in the lake?" "I guess. But I bet it was some animals or something." They didn't say anything important really but they said they saw Japan heading somewhere which they guessed was one of her friends house. When I could they left, I took off running, I didn't want her to be heading to our house nor Russia's. I ran to our house first since it was closer, which I saw Japan. She heard me running turn d around, she probably thought I was someone else, but when she saw me she almost screamed. "You're supposed to be dead!" She yelled at me. I chuckled a bit then said,"You won't ever get America's heart this way or anyone's! Also if you want me DEAD so badly, you'll have to try harder!" I yelled at her. Japan's sinister smile came back, I shivered at it, and she took out a knife from her pocket, we both took off. I soon realized I was running to Russia's house, I kept running making it looked like I was just running randomly, and I ran for the park again. This time I was ahead of Japan I ran into a bush, I was about to pull out my phone to tell you I was okay, but I heard running. I ducked deeper into the bush, but I peered out. I saw Japan running but then she slowed down and started to look for me. I don't know how long I was in the bush, but I didn't get my phone out, I was too focused on Japan. When she was out of sight I stated to get of the bush, I still didn't see her, I got out of the bush brushing thorns off me, then I heard walking. I  didn't want to get back into the bush because of the throns, I quickly climbed a tree as fast as I could. I found a good spot in the tree and sat there. I saw Japan with South Korea, they were talking. That's when I pulled my phone out and texted Canada. I had to wait until they lefted which was while and Japan stayed a bit longer than South. But after awhile she left, I saw she ran in a the direction of the lake. I jumped down landing hard on my feet, I ran all the way to Russia's house. When I got close I slowed my pace and looked around making sure Japan wasn't anywhere near, I didn't see her anywhere near. I walked to the door and knocked. I was scared if you were okay or not. So that's what happened to me, mate."
