I sat in the passenger seat of Anthony's car, looking at the side of his face. His left hand was on the steering wheel while he pulled at his chin hair. His jaw flexed every time he chewed the spearmint gum in his mouth. A small smile appeared on his face as a song he seemed to love came on the radio.

Mahalia - Grateful

He turned his stereo up a little as he bobbed his head to the best. He hand gripped the steering wheel as he made a left turn. Feeling my stare, he glanced in my direction, winking at me before focusing back on the road.

He's so fine.

I chewed on my bottom as a red tint flashed across my face. I watched as his fingers began to tap against the steering wheel as he began to lowly sing  along to the song.

🎶 ...You make my worries fly away
I'm thinking it's the way that we rotate
That makes me feel okay, huh
So you should come around
Today, let me show you somewhere safe
Oh baby you can stop tryna locate
'Cause we find a soulmate in each other
And now we're bound 🎶

My eyebrows shot up as I stared at him in awe.

He actually sounded good.

"You can sing?!" I asked.

"Huh?" He said, glancing at me briefly before looking back at the road.

"Why didn't you tell me you could sing?" I shoved his arm.

"I could do a little sumn-sumn." He chuckled.

"You have a nice voice." I complimented. "Sing something else."

He sucked his teeth. "Man, no."

I rolled my eyes. "You're so annoying."

Anthony slapped his large hand on my thigh.

"Ow." I whined, frowning at him.

"What I tell you about your fuckin' eyes?" He asked as he park the car in front of my school. He gripped my thigh, using his thumb to gently rub the inside of my thigh.

I tucked my bottom lip into my mouth, making him chuckle. He got out of the car and walked to the passenger side, opening my door.

I grabbed my bag, throwing it over my shoulder as I got out of his car.

"Thanks for the ride." I told him as I began walking towards the building.
